Fluke Ti480 PRO Handheld Thermal Imaging Camera

The Fluke Ti480 PRO Handheld Thermal Imaging Cameras can be used to inspect electrical and mechanical apparatus in order to identify potential problems, such as faulty components, before they become critical issues. This allows the maintenance team to address and correct issues without the need for extensive downtime, this, in turn, reduces costs.

For a quick introduction to Fluke’s range of Ti PRO Thermal Imaging Cameras, please see the video section.

Thermal Imaging Technology

The Fluke Ti480 PRO Handheld Thermal Imaging Cameras have an IR resolution of 640 x 480-pixels, a field-of-view of 34° (H) x 24° (V) and a minimum focus distance of 15cm. These cameras are able to detect and display temperatures between -20°C and +1000°C to an accuracy of ±2°C/ 2%. Due to the inclusion of increased thermal sensitivity, you are able to capture smaller temperature differences.

To ensure that the user is provided with IR images of the highest quality, the thermal camera is equipped with a standard IR lens constructed from 100% diamond-turned germanium with speciality coatings; they have been designed to provide the best optics for transmitting energy in order to produce high-quality IR images.

LaserSharp™ Auto Focus

Fluke Ti480 PRO Electrical Inspection

A number of features and functions allow the user to edit and analyse thermal images in the field, in real-time, and on the camera. The user can alter the colour palette as necessary to see the details most relevant to his/her application; equipped with nine colour palettes in standard and ultra-contrast versions including Rainbow, Ironbow, Blue-Red, High Contrast, Amber, Amber Inverted, Hot Metal, Grayscale and Grayscale Inverted. Identifying heat differences is made easier due to clearer colour differentiation and a greater array of greens and yellows within the colour palettes.

The thermographer can also alter the emissivity of the image and apply colour alarms and markers. Via the addition of multiple rectangular markers, the user can determine the minimum, maximum and average temperatures for the several areas within the image.

Additionally, the application of multiple Delta-T markers allows the user to visualise and quantify temperature differences. One Delta-T marker is selected to serve as the default temperature value and all other Delta-T markers will express their temperatures as a difference in relation to the default value.

IR-Fusion™ Blending Technology

The Fluke Ti480 PRO is also equipped with Fluke’s patented IR-Fusion™ blending technology. This function will combine IR images and visible-light images (captured by the integrated 5MP visible light camera) to varying degrees in order to provide the user with a detailed thermal image.

Ergonomic Design

It is possible to save captured and edited images to the supplied 4GB microSD cards. Images can be saved with notes and voice annotations using the IR-PhotoNotes™ function. Accessing the required settings, features and functions is made simple as a result of the intuitive, touchscreen interface and pistol-shaped design which enables single-handed operation. These practical, easy-to-use cameras are also designed to be rugged and are suitable for use in industrial environments.

Fluke Connect Compatibility

The Fluke Ti480 PRO Handheld Thermal Imaging Cameras can be operated remotely using Fluke’s Fluke Connect SmartView Desktop Software (available for free download from Fluke). Using this software, the thermographer can view IR images streamed from the Fluke Ti480 PRO Handheld Thermal Imaging Cameras to his/her PC. Moreover, downloaded footage and measurement data can be organised in accordance with the corresponding piece of equipment.

In addition to this, they can be used in conjunction with the Fluke Connect App and the thermographer’s smartphone or tablet. Images may be sent to compatible smartphones or tablets; once received, thermal media can be edited, analysed and organised into customisable reports to be sent to relevant persons via email. Wirelessly synced images and data can also be attached to relevant asset records and/or uploaded to the Fluke Cloud. Please see the following video for a quick introduction to the Fluke Connect App.

The Fluke Ti480 PRO Handheld Thermal Imaging Cameras are dynamic, dependable and durable infrared imagers optimised for troubleshooting and predictive maintenance applications.
