The Fluke T6-600 Electrical Tester with FieldSense is one of two new additions to the Fluke T- Electrical Tester range and is unlike existing go/no-go non-contact voltage testers as it features new FieldSense technology, putting the user’s safety, accuracy and efficiency at the forefront of its design. For a quick introduction to this product, please see the video below.
The Fluke T6 series of electrical testers are ideal for basic troubleshooting and individual circuit verification, and so features many additional functions not found on Fluke’s T5 electrical testers. Some of the features present on the T6-600 not present on the Fluke T5-600 Electrical Tester are:
This new product has been optimised to be both as ergonomic and safe-to-use as possible. As this product features FieldSense technology, unlike the T5-600, it does not need to be connected to the conductor being tested via test leads* or via metallic contact. This reduces the risk of accidental contact with an energised wire and/or accidental contact with the incorrect conductor. For further information regarding FieldSense please see 'Fluke’s Note on FieldSense Technology’, listed under Technical Specifications.
Furthermore, this product uses FieldSense technology and True-RMS to leadlessly* and accurately detect and measure current and voltage in tight spaces, such as crowded junction boxes, and/or measure the voltage and current of conductors with hard-to-reach end points. The user only need quickly and simply slip the 17.8mm jaw over the conductor to simultaneously measure current and voltage. In addition to measuring AC/DC voltage up to 600V and AC current up to 200A, this product is also capable of verifying voltage and continuity values and measures resistance between 1Ω and 2kΩ.
This product can be operated using a single hand, again increasing its versatility of use and the user’s safety. Furthermore, this product’s simple and convenient design, coupled with its leadless measurement capabilities, reduces testing time and increases the user’s efficiency. For further information about the T6-600 measuring capabilities as well as information about how to use the Fluke T6-600 Electrical Tester please see the how-to guide listed under Technical Specifications.
Fluke’s T6-600 Electrical Tester is a portable, robust product capable of withstanding a 3m (10 foot) drop; it comes with test leads compatible with Fluke accessory test clips and detachable 4mm SlimReach probe tips which are compliant with national electrical standards, making this product the perfect addition to a commercial and/or light industrial electrician’s toolbox.
*If the user and/or other equipment being used as part of the test are fully isolated from the earth ground a test lead may be required.
