Tests
Easily accessible controls on the front of the Fluke SMFT-1000 Solar Multifunction PV Tester enable resistance, polarity, voltage, current, power AC/DC, function, insulation resistance, I-V curve, and diode testing. Auto Test mode allows you to perform automatic test sequences in a variety of combinations, for example:
- With or without the insulation test
- Category 1 or category 1 and 2 tests (compliant with IEC 62446-1)
- Protection Class I or Protection Class II tests (compliant with IEC 62446-1)

I-V Curve Tracing
The supplied Fluke IRR2-BT Irradiance Meter gathers real-time temperature and irradiance data. It wirelessly connects to the SMFT-1000 enabling the transfer of up-to-the-second readings and, therefore, accurate I-V curve measurements. Should this connection falter, the Fluke IRR2 Irradiance Meter will log data to its memory for up to seventeen hours.
When gathering I-V curve readings in the field, the tester displays the curve as it loads allowing you to compare it against the manufacturer’s module specifications. This makes it quicker and easier to confirm measurements without a laptop/tablet.
Keep the Leads
Reduce the time spent on set-up and decrease user errors with the Keep the Leads system. With this function, test leads only need to be connected to the system once, allowing you to perform all necessary tests quickly and easily.
Colour Screen
Measurements are further simplified by the colour display with on-screen instructions that guide you through each test.
Visual Inspection
To comply with IEC regulations for inspecting PV systems, the Fluke Solar Multifunction Tester includes a setting for recording the details of visual observations. This information can be subsequently imported into Fluke’s TruTest Software (sold separately) to be incorporated into reports.
