The Fluke P3125XT Oil Extended Range Deadweight Tester– Dual Pump includes two internal pumps allowing it to span a wide pressure range. This makes it suitable for calibrating an extensive variety of pressure sensing instruments, such as transducers, transmitters, gauges and pressure switches.
The Fluke P3125XT Oil Extended Range Deadweight Tester– Dual Pump is available in three models with varying pressure ranges and measurement units. Each of these models improves upon the pressure range of their respective sister product, the Fluke P3125 Oil Deadweight Tester. For further information regarding the differences between the three available Fluke P3125XT Oil Extended Range Deadweight Tester– Dual Pump models, please see the table below.
Product Code | Product Name | Pressure Range | Maximum Vacuum Range |
P3125XT-BAR | Fluke P3125XT-BAR Oil Hydraulic Extended Range Deadweight Tester - Dual Pump 1200 bar | 1 to 1200 bar | 0.2 bar |
P3125XT-KGCM2 | Fluke P3125XT-KGCM2 Oil Hydraulic Extended Range Deadweight Tester - Dual Pump 1200 kgf/cm2 | 1 to 1200 kgf/cm2 | 0.1 kgf/cm2 |
P3125XT-MPA | Fluke P3125XT-MPA Oil Hydraulic Extended Range Deadweight Tester - Dual Pump 120 MPa | 0.1 to 120 MPa | 0.02 MPA |
The integrated hand pump allows the user to prime the system prior to performing calibrations and is able to accommodate large volume requirements. In order to generate hydraulic pressure, the Fluke P3125XT Oil Extended Range Deadweight Tester utilises mineral oil and includes a high-quality screw press which may be used to make fine pressure adjustments. During operation, the user can clearly view the oil level and quality through the clear, acrylic reservoir. Moreover, post-calibration he/she can drain the oil via the integrated drain plug quickly and easily.
As hydraulic pressure is created the piston will rise in the cylinder; to counterbalance this upward force accurately calibrated weight masses are added to the piston. Each of these weight masses is constructed from series 3, non-magnetic, austenitic, stainless steel and is marked with the instrument’s serial number and the nominal pressure values relative to high- and low-pressure pistons. In order to determine the final pressure, the relevant nominal values on each of the weight masses added to the piston are combined; please see the video below for further information regarding this method.
Weight masses can be stored in a robust weight case with a self-locking mechanism, keeping them safe and secure during transit.
The inclusion of a removable lid with the Fluke P3125XT Oil Extended Range Deadweight Tester also ensures that it can be transported between worksites easily. Its test-station design with O-rings, adjustable feet and mounted spirit level make accurately setting up the deadweight tester in a variety of environments quick and easy. Its design, as well as the inclusion of 1/8 inch, 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch NPT or BSP female adaptors, removes the need for PTFE tape and/or wrenches when attaching additional instruments, again adding to the instrument’s convenience.
In addition to its versatility and practicality, the Fluke P3125XT Oil Extended Range Deadweight Tester is accurate. It has a standard accuracy of 0.015%, is supplied with a traceable certificate of accuracy and is calibrated to standard gravity (980.665cm/s²). Its piston and cylinder assembly with a floatation indicator also works to maintain this product’s accuracy; it too has certified accuracies traceable to international standards laboratories, such as NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology), having been manufactured in accordance with the highest standards. The design of the piston and cylinder assembly reduces the effects of distortion and thermal coefficients, whilst maintaining the deadweight tester’s stability and durability.
Be that as it may, the accuracy of the Fluke P3125XT Oil Extended Range Deadweight Tester can be improved further to 0.008% via, for instance, calibrating it in accordance with the user’s local gravity, thereby accounting for the effect of this force on the weight masses.
