Fluke P3125 Oil Deadweight Tester – Dual Pump

The Fluke P3125 Oil Hydraulic Deadweight Tester – Dual Pump can be used to calibrate pressure sensing instruments such as transducers, transmitters, gauges and pressure switches. The inclusion of two pumps provides the tester with a wide pressure range. The Fluke P3125 Oil Hydraulic Deadweight Tester – Dual Pump is available in four models with varying pressure ranges and measurement units, for further information please see the table below.

Product Code Product Name  Pressure Range Maximum Vacuum Range

P3125-KGCM2 Fluke P3125-KGCM2 Oil Hydraulic Deadweight Tester, Dual Range - 1100 kgf/cm2 1 to 1100 kgf/cm2 0.1 kgf/cm2
P3125-PSI Fluke P3125-PSI Oil Hydraulic Deadweight Tester, Dual Range - 16000 psi 10 to 16000 psi 2 psi
P3125-MPA Fluke P3125-MPA Oil Hydraulic Deadweight Tester, Dual Range - 110 MPa 0.1 to 110 MPa 0.02 MPA

The Fluke P3125 Oil Hydraulic Deadweight Tester – Dual Pump has been designed to ensure that it is both practical and easy-to-use. To this end, it includes a test-station design with O-rings, adjustable feet and a mounted spirit level. It is also supplied with spare seals and 1/8 inch, 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch NPT or BSP female adaptors, as well as a removable lid for easy transportation. As a result of this instrument’s sophisticated design, PTFE tape and/or wrenches are not required when connecting additional instruments.

Moreover, the inclusion of a clear, acrylic reservoir allows the user to see the level and quality of the mineral oil easily, whilst the integrated drain plug makes draining the oil simple.

To create hydraulic pressure the Fluke P3125 Oil Hydraulic Deadweight Tester must be used with mineral oil, the operator is able to generate and finely adjust the hydraulic pressure using the high-quality screw press. The integrated hand-pump allows the user to prime the system prior to operation and also facilitates the tester’s ability to accommodate large volume applications.

Creation of hydraulic pressure causes an upward force to act on the piston resulting in it rising within the cylinder. To balance this force accurately calibrated weight masses, marked with nominal pressure values relative to low- and high-pressure pistons, are added to the piston. In order to determine the final pressure, the nominal values, marked on each of the weight masses placed on the piston, are added together. For further information regarding this method, please see the video below.

Weight masses are also inscribed with the instrument’s serial number and are manufactured from series 3, non-magnetic, austenitic, stainless steel. These masses can be stored in a rugged weight box with a self-locking mechanism which ensures that they are kept safe and secure during transit.

Adding to the accuracy of the Fluke P3125 Oil Hydraulic Deadweight Tester is its piston and cylinder assembly with floatation indicator. This assembly works to minimise the effects of distortion and thermal coefficients whilst maintaining the instrument’s stability and durability. It is manufactured in accordance with the highest standards and as such includes certified accuracies traceable to international standards laboratories, such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

In addition to the traceable certificate of accuracy supplied with this unit, the Fluke P3125 Oil Hydraulic Deadweight Tester is calibrated in accordance with standard gravity (980.665cm/s²), providing it with a standard accuracy of 0.015%. However, the Fluke P3125 Oil Hydraulic Deadweight Tester may be calibrated to the user’s local gravity, thereby accounting for the localised gravitational pull on the weight masses and subsequently improving the tester’s accuracy to 0.008%.

The Fluke P3125 Oil Hydraulic Deadweight Tester’s accuracy, wide scope-for-use and convenient design make it suitable for calibrating a wide variety of pressure sensing instruments in a range of environments. For further information, please see the video below.
