The Fluke P3025-P Gas Dual Deadweight Tester can be used to create pneumatic pressure or a vacuum. In order to do this, an external gas source or vacuum pump may be attached to its /NPT female port. Alternatively, the operator may use the integrated hand pump to create pneumatic pressure up to 300 psi or generate a vacuum to 90%. The high-quality needle can be used to make fine adjustments to the pressure or vacuum.
It is easy to attach instruments-under-investigation to this deadweight tester as a result of its test station design with O-rings and the inclusion of 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 NPT and BSP, and M20 and M14 metric adapters, as these features and modules remove the need for PTFE tape or wrenches.
Adding to this product’s practicality is its mounted spirit level and adjustable feet which ensure that it can be set-up and used accurately within various environments. Further to this, its removable lid means that it can be safely and easily transported between worksites.
The Fluke P3025-P Gas Dual Deadweight Tester has been designed to be practical and accurate. To this end, its piston and cylinder assembly with floatation indicator has been manufactured in accordance with the highest standards and as such has certified accuracies traceable to international standards laboratories, such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Furthermore, in order to maintain the standard accuracy (0.015%) of this instrument, the piston and cylinder assembly has been designed to minimise the effects of distortion and thermal coefficients whilst maintaining stability and durability.
Furthermore, this instrument has been calibrated to standard gravity (980.665cm/s²) and is supplied with an ISO 17025 accredited calibration certificate, these features also work to maintain the 0.015% accuracy of this tester. However, this accuracy can be improved to 0.008% by making minor adjustments to the instrument, for instance, it may be calibrated to the user’s local gravity thereby accounting for this localised gravitational pull on the weight masses.
The weight masses designed to be used with this tester have been accurately calibrated. Their nominal pressure values relative to the high- or low-pressure piston are marked on the body of each weight mass, as is the instrument's serial number. When pneumatic pressure has been generated the piston and cylinder assembly will begin to rise; in order to counterbalance this upward force the calibrated weight masses are added to the piston and the inscribed nominal pressures are combined in order to determine the final pressure. For further information regarding this method, please see the video below.
Weight masses are constructed from series 3, non-magnetic, austenitic, stainless steel and may be stored in a robust weight case with a secure locking mechanism for easy transportation between worksites.
The Fluke P3025-P Gas Dual Deadweight Tester – With Pump is an adaptable, accurate, easy-to-use calibrator, ideal for checking a variety of pressure sensing instruments.
