Fluke P3013-XXX-P Gas Deadweight Tester – With Pump

The Fluke P3013-P Gas Deadweight Tester – With Pump is designed to calibrate pressure sensing instruments. It is suitable for calibrating transducers, transmitters, gauges or pressure switches. This instrument is available in three models which vary with regards to their measurement ranges and units.  For further information, please see the table below.

Product Code Product Name  Pressure Range
P3013-KPA-P Fluke P3013-KPA-P Gas Deadweight Tester 200 kPa with Pump 3 to 200kPa
P3013-MBAR-P Fluke P3013-MBAR-P Gas Deadweight Tester 2000 mbar with Pump 30 to 2000 mbar
P3013-INH2O-P Fluke P3013-INH2O-P Gas Deadweight Tester 800 inH2O with Pump 12 to 800 inH2O

In order to generate pressure, the user can either attach an external gas source to the tester via the /NPT female external supply port or may use the integrated hand pump to create up to 300 psi (20 bar) of pneumatic pressure. The high-quality needle allows the user to make fine adjustments to the pressures generated using this instrument.

The creation of pressure causes the piston and assembly to rise. The user is able to balance this force by adding accurately calibrated weight masses on to the piston. The final pressure is then determined by adding together the nominal pressure values marked on each of the weight masses. For further information regarding this method, please see the video below.

Measuring Pressure with a Deadweight Tester

As indicated above any weight masses supplied with this tester are inscribed with the nominal pressure value relative to the high- or low-pressure piston. They are also marked with the instrument’s serial number and are constructed from series 3 non-magnetic austenitic stainless steel. These weight masses are stored in a rugged weight box with a secure locking mechanism, ensuring that they can be easily and securely transported.

Adding to this product’s ease of transportation is the inclusion of a detachable lid. Further to this, the Fluke P3013-P Gas Deadweight Tester is supplied with spare seals; 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 NPT and BSP adapters and M20 and M14 metric adapters. These adapters, combined with the deadweight calibrator’s test station design with O-rings, removes the need for PTFE tape and/or wrenches when attaching additional modules. In addition to this, the inclusion of a mounted spirit level and adjustable feet ensure that this instrument can be set up and used accurately in a variety of environments.

Moreover, the Fluke P3013-P Gas Deadweight Tester is supplied with an ISO 17025 accredited calibration certificate. Unless specified, the tester is calibrated to standard gravity (980.665 cm/s²); however, this instrument may also be calibrated to the user’s local gravity.

As standard this instrument has an accuracy of 0.015% of the reading; this can be improved to 0.008%. Adding to its accuracy is the construction of the piston/cylinder assembly which has been manufactured to the highest standards and as such has certified accuracies traceable to international standard laboratories, such as NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology). Additionally, the piston/cylinder assembly has been constructed in order to provide stability and durability, as well as lower distortion and thermal coefficients.

This combination of features ensures that the Fluke P3013-P Gas Deadweight Tester – with Pump can be used to simply and accurately calibrate a number of pressure sensing modules.
