The Fluke P3012-P Gas Deadweight Tester – With Pump can be used to calibrate pressure sensing instruments, such as transducers, transmitters, gauges or pressure switches. There are three models available in this range. These models vary with regards to their pressure ranges and measurement units; for further information please see the table below.
Product Code | Product Name | Pressure Range |
P3012-KPA-P | Fluke P3012-KPA-P Gas Deadweight Tester 100kPA with Pump | 1.5 to 100kPa |
P3012-MBAR-P | Fluke P3012-MBAR-P Gas Deadweight Tester 1000 mbar with Pump | 15 to 1000 mbar |
P3012-INH2O-P | Fluke P3012-INHH2O-P Gas Deadweight Tester 400 inH2O with Pump | 5 to 400 inH2O |
The inclusion of a hand pump allows the user to generate pressure up to 300psi (20 bar), however, an external gas source may also be connected to the tester via the /NPT female external supply port. The Fluke P3012-P Gas Deadweight Tester includes a high-quality needle valve allowing the user to make fine pressure adjustments.
The Fluke P3012-P Gas Deadweight Tester is only able to produce pressure; however, other Fluke dual pressure and vacuum models are available. The pressure generated within the tester causes the piston and cylinder assembly to rise. The user balances this upward force by adding accurately calibrated weight masses on to the piston. The total pressure is determined by adding the total value of the weight masses to the piston weight and carrier assembly.
The piston/ cylinder assembly includes a floatation indicator and is manufactured to the highest standards, with traceable accuracies to international standard laboratories, such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). It is optimised to provide stability and durability, as well as limit the effects of distortion and thermal coefficients.
Moreover, each model is supplied with an ISO 17025 accredited calibration certificate and is calibrated to standard gravity (980.665 cm/s²). This gives the Fluke P3012-P Gas Deadweight Tester an accuracy of 0.015% of the reading. This accuracy can be improved to 0.008% as the Fluke P3012-P can be calibrated to local gravity in order to account for the effect of this force on the weight masses.
In addition to a calibration certificate, the Fluke P3012-P Gas Deadweight Tester is also supplied with spare seals and 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 NPT and BSP adapters as well as M20 and M14 metric adapters. The instrument itself includes a detachable lid allowing the user to transport the Fluke P3012-P Gas Deadweight Tester safely and easily.
The inclusion of a selection of adapters, along with the Fluke P3012-P Gas Deadweight Tester’s test station design with O-rings, adds to the practicality and convenience of this instrument, as the user does not require PTFE tape or wrenches to connect additional modules to the tester. Furthermore, its mounted spirit level and adjustable feet improves the ease with which this calibrator may be set up and ensures that it can be used within a variety of environments without compromising its accuracy.
Finally, any weight masses supplied with this tester are constructed from series 3 non-magnetic austenitic stainless steel and are marked with both the instrument’s serial number and the nominal pressure value relative to the pressure piston. These masses are supplied in a robust weight box with a secure locking mechanism, again ensuring that they can be safely and easily transported between worksites.
The Fluke P3012-P Gas Deadweight Testers – With Pump are accurate, practical instruments ideal for calibrating a variety of pressure sensing instruments.
