The Fluke Networks LinkIQ Cable & Network Tester is designed to verify the performance of copper cables up to 10G. For instance, it can be used to ascertain how fast networks run over cabling; determine whether cabling can support a specific service (such as 1Gig or 10Gig ethernet); and check that the system is connected correctly.
The Fluke Networks LinkIQ Cable & Network Tester functions by generating test signals via its RJ45 port. These signals will have the same data frame format as the service you are testing. It subsequently checks whether the signals reach to opposite end in a useable state and offers a speed reading.
Furthermore, the Fluke Networks LinkIQ Cable & Network Tester includes an IP ping that provides the nearest switch diagnostics including the advertised data rate, switch name, port number and VLAN information. As such, the Fluke Networks LinkIQ Cable & Network Tester will offer a PASS/Fail assessment of the copper cabling depending on the criteria entered or ascertained. Moreover, via the ping and IP configuration, the Fluke Networks LinkIQ Cable & Network Tester can test the TCP/IP network connection.
In addition to this, the Fluke Networks LinkIQ Cable & Network Tester is suitable for:
- Testing copper cable links up to 305m
- Getting a wire-map of pairs and distances to faults such as opens, shorts, and unterminated
- Detecting PoE classes (1-8)
- Performing load tests of available PoE from the connected switch
- Verifying gateway and DNS server responsiveness and availability
The inclusion of an IntelliTone Probe facilitates the location of cables in walls or telecommunications rooms using the Fluke Networks LinkIQ Cable & Network Tester.
Data, as well as PASS/Fail results, are indicated on the Fluke Networks LinkIQ Cable & Network Tester’s large, colour, touchscreen display. Up to 1000 readings can be saved on the tester and exported to Fluke’s LinkWare PC Software for organisation and inclusion in reports. The Fluke Networks LinkIQ Cable & Network Tester features a USB-C port to export data, update software, and charge the unit.
Finally, the Fluke Networks LinkIQ Cable & Network Tester is powered by a rechargeable Li-Ion battery.
The Fluke Networks LinkIQ Cable & Network Tester is perfect for installing and troubleshooting copper cable networks.
