Fluke Networks DSX Cable Analyser Tests

Designed to exceed the IEC Level V specification with less than half the allowable crosstalk margin, the Fluke Networks DSX Cable Analysers deliver reliable, accurate results across the full frequency range. They can complete full Cat 6A or Class FA standards tests in under ten seconds and can verify two cables at two wavelengths in both directions using the copper or fibre module.

Additionally, the Fluke Networks DSX Cable Analyser supports balance measurements such as Transverse Conversion Loss (TCL) and Equal Level Transverse Conversion Transfer Loss (ELTCTL). Providing a fast method of project completion and system acceptance, the Fluke Networks DSX Cable Analyser offer a PASS/FAIL result and allow you to review individual test parameters by numerically or graphically. They also support a complete suite of Resistance Unbalance standards needed for Power over Ethernet.

Fluke Networks DSX Cable Analyser Diagnostics

Moreover, unlike other testers, the Fluke Networks DSX Cable Analysers’ diagnostic capabilities have no frequency limitation. A dedicated diagnostics button runs all troubleshooting tests and saves the data. Results are also displayed graphically, allowing you to look down the cable and pinpoint crosstalk, return loss, or shield faults on any given link. The Fluke Networks DSX Cable Analysers can store up to 12 000 test results with full graphics.

Furthermore, a patented AC measurement technique makes the Fluke Networks DSX Cable Analysers the only testers capable of reporting the distance to shield integrity issues. This is particularly advantageous when checking datacentres as other testers will either miss issues or indicate a break in a shield but be unable to indicate the location. The Fluke Networks DSX Cable Analysers can do both.

Fluke Networks DSX Cable Analysers are Easy to Use

Equipped with a new ProjX management system, the Fluke Networks DSX Cable Analysers minimise set-up errors or data loss because:

  • All job-specific details are saved under a simple name
  • Provides test results by cable ID
  • Merges changes without duplicates
  • Defaults to the last copper or fibre module installed

In addition to this, the ProjX management system provides a real-time 0-100% job completion scale; offers the operator the option to isolate tests requiring additional investigation; and includes a “Fix Later” function which generates an automatic list of corrections, helping to ensure reliable, accurate testing. The ProjX management system makes it easy to switch between projects, track progress, and collate results.

A Taptive user interface also adds to the Fluke Networks DSX Cable Analysers' ease of use. This high-quality, touchscreen ensures all jobs are accessible from the menu screen. Simply touch the test and a large display will confirm which checks need to be performed. To ensure correct configuration the Fluke Networks DSX Cable Analysers provide simplified diagrams and animated instructions to help you set up the mesurements.

Fluke Networks LinkWare Management Software

Create reports and upgrade the Fluke Networks DSX Cable Analysers’ software using Fluke Networks’ LinkWare Management Software. Logos may be uploaded to reports. The Fluke Networks LinkWare Software also includes a new statistical report function. This option creates charts and diagrams from test results allowing you to assess your cabling plant performance and infrastructure, as well as spot anomalies.

Furthermore, using the Fluke Networks LinkWare Management Software, project managers can manage workflow and consolidate test results.

The Fluke Networks DSX Cable Analysers are industry-leading, efficient, easy-to-use copper and fibre cable testers.
