Fluke ii915 Acoustic Imager
The Fluke ii915 Acoustic Imager is an ultrasonic camera designed to detect leaks, identify mechanical problems, and pinpoint partial discharge. The perfect, first-line inspection tool, the Fluke ii915 builds on the ii905’s capabilities. Like its sister product, the ii915 features advanced leak-detection technology that isolates leak sound frequencies and filters background noise. Similarly, it will calculate the leak size, rate, and estimated cost, and assign a LeakQ™ severity index (1-10). In addition to this, the Fluke ii915 includes MecQ™ and PDQ™ modes. Using the MecQ™ mode, maintenance technicians can quickly scan, identify, and document potential mechanical issues; whereas the PDQ mode™ assesses the severity of partial discharge. Consequently, the Fluke ii915’s LeakQ™, MecQ™, and PDQ™ modes make locating faults and prioritising repairs quick and easy. Like the other models in Fluke’s ii-series of acoustic cameras, the ii915 filters out background noise to create a SoundMap™ that is overlaid onto a digital image, providing a simple method of spotting faults. Moreover, it means the Fluke ii915 can be used during uptime, allowing businesses to maximise productivity and, therefore, profitability. The footage is visible via the seven-inch LCD and may be tagged, annotated and saved to folders in the ii915’s internal memory. Alternatively, data can be sent to team members and repair personnel using the Reporting Tool and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Acoustic Imaging
Capable of detecting leaks, partial discharge, and mechanical faults emitting ultrasonic sound between 2 and 100kHz from up to 120m away, the Fluke ii915 is an all-in-one inspection tool. It automatically filters background noise ensuring routine maintenance inspections can be conducted during business uptime. This reduces required downtime, allowing teams to maximise productivity and, subsequently, profitability.
SoundMap™ Technology
A dedicated algorithm and an acoustic array of miniature microphones convert the ultrasonic sound emitted by faults into a SoundMap™ which is superimposed on top of a corresponding digital image captured by the built-in 5MP camera. Depending on the frequency range selected, the ii915 will automatically adapt to filter out background noise. As a result, maintenance teams can see and locate leaks, partial discharge, and/or mechanical faults clearly and in real-time.
LeakQ™ Assessment
In addition to locating compressed air, gas, steam, and vacuum leaks, the Fluke ii915 Acoustic Imager includes a distance estimation algorithm for calculating the size, rate, and estimated cost of leaks. It also indicates the severity of the leak using a 1-10 LeakQ™ index. This makes assessing leak severity and prioritising repairs simple.
MecQ™ Mode
Contactless scanning and advanced noise filtering allow maintenance technicians to scan large areas and industrial equipment for mechanical faults while operations are ongoing. This eliminates expensive downtime previously required for routine maintenance inspections and ensures technicians can maintain a safe distance from dangerous equipment. The ii915 enables teams to spot potential faults early and easily document them. Consequently, they can deliver targeted maintenance, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.
PDQ™ Mode
The Fluke ii915 Acoustic Imager will not only identify partial discharge (PD) but will also assess the severity of the partial discharge and provide PD classification. Once again, this enables teams to make quick, informed maintenance/repair decisions.
User-friendly Design
Requiring minimal training to operate, the Fluke ii915 is designed for ease of use. It makes scanning large areas, compressed air systems, industrial equipment, insulators, transformers, and high-voltage power lines safe, simple, and swift. A capacitive touchscreen adds to the ii915’s ease of operation while a seven-inch 1280 x 800px LCD screen ensures footage is clear.
Notes may be added to images and videos. Media can also be tagged to assets or locations and saved to a dedicated folder in the ii915’s 32GB memory. Using the Reporting Tool and Wi-Fi connectivity, images, videos, and data may be shared with relevant persons.
Transform Fault Finding with the Fluke ii905 in 4 Easy Steps
