Pass Presents the Fluke ii910 Acoustic Imager
The Fluke ii910 Precision Acoustic Industrial Imager is a handheld, easy-to-use, ultrasonic camera that can be used to locate partial discharge in power distribution systems and high-voltage equipment, as well as, leaks in compressed air, gas, steam and vacuum systems.
The Fluke ii910 Sonic Industrial Imager is more sensitive than its predecessor the, Fluke ii900. It has a frequency range of 2kHz to 100kHz and a detection range of up to 120m. This means that it can identify leaks that are both smaller and further away; it also makes it especially well suited to locating partial discharge from a safe distance.
The Fluke ii910 Acoustic Camera is ideal for inspecting and scanning for PD:
- Insulators,
- Transformers,
- Switch gears
- High-voltage powerlines
- Arrestors
- Busbars
- High Voltage coils
- Beakers
- Capacitors
The Fluke ii910 Sonic Industrial Imager can be used to locate faults earlier allowing professionals to take corrective action sooner, thereby limiting damage, maximising uptime, and preventing injury or fatality.
Multiple minuscule microphones capture ultrasonic sound which is converted into a SoundMap™ by the Fluke ii910 Sonic Industrial Imager’s SountSight™ technology. The SoundMap is superimposed onto the visual image allowing the user to pinpoint problems quickly and simply. Moreover, the background noise is automatically filtered out of the SoundMap depending on the frequency range selected.
Images are displayed on the Fluke ii910 Acoustic Industrial Imager’s 7-inch, 1280 x 800 LCD with a simple-to-use touchscreen interface. This easy-to-use acoustic camera requires minimal training to operate and can be easily integrated into existing maintenance routines.
The Fluke ii910 Sonic Industrial Imager is ideal for manufacturers, high-voltage electricians, electrical test engineers, and grid maintenance teams.
Onboard Quantification & Reporting Tools
Like its sister product, the Fluke ii900 Acoustic Imager, the Fluke ii910 includes a LeakQ mode. It also offers a PDQ mode and MecQ mechanical scanning.
LeakQ Mode
Prioritise leak repairs based on their severity using the LeakQ mode. This function quantifies both the distance to and the size/rate of the leak. LeakQ images can be uploaded to Fluke’s reporting tool to determine the estimated cost of the leak, i.e., the expense accrued due to the rate of wasted resources.
PDQ Mode
Similarly, the PDQ mode, unique to the Fluke ii910, calculates the distance to and classifies the type of partial discharge. Images captured in this mode can also be used with Fluke’s online tool to create reports.
MecQ Mechanical Scanning
MecQ mechanical scanning allows you to pinpoint mechanical failings, such as bearings wear, from a safe distance. It can be used to narrow down the areas with potential mechanical problems. MecQ Mechanical Scanning can be used in three sub-modes:
- 30Hz
- User-selectable (2-100kHz)
- Fixed Multi-Mode (15, 20, 30, 40, 60 kHz)
