The Fluke DS703 FC High-Resolution Diagnostic Videoscope is of particular use to maintenance engineers and technicians across a variety of sectors including aviation, automotive, production, and industrial. This adaptable, rugged, and easy-to-use Fluke borescope is suitable for an array of applications, such as:
- Checking pipes and tubes for corrosion, clogging, and blockages
- Searching the inner walls of turbines and containers for cracks, corrosion, and damage
- Looking for signs of wear on rotating machinery
- Inspecting castings for damage, burrs, and deformities
- Locating loosening parts such as screws and nails
- Identifying the part numbers of internal components
The Fluke Videoscope is particularly useful for industrial applications and serves as an effective preventative maintenance tool. It differs from its sister product, the Fluke DS701 Diagnostic Videoscope, in that it is able to offer a superior camera resolution, 1280 x 720-pixel (921,600 pixels); improved video resolution, 720-pixels, and is Fluke Connect™ enabled.
The Fluke Connect™ App is available through Google Play and The App Store. It can be used to save, manage and organise data, eliminating data entry errors by recording information directly from the Fluke Videoscope. This app can also be used to save measurements to the Fluke Cloud, thereby expanding the user’s data storage space. The user may also stream footage from the Fluke Videoscope to his/her compatible smartphone via the Fluke Connect™ App. Alternatively, footage may be streamed to a compatible instrument using an HDMI interface.
To facilitate a connection to the Fluke Connect™ App, the Fluke DS703 FC High-Resolution Diagnostic Videoscope includes a Wi-Fi interface (range 33 feet/ 10.06m). For a quick introduction to the Fluke Connect™ App, please see the following video.
Like its sister product, the Fluke DS703 FC High-Resolution Diagnostic Videoscope also includes an internal 6GB memory to which images (JPG) and videos (AVI) may be stored. The user can also export this data to a PC via a USB interface; videos are exported as MPEG compressions.
Saved data, functions, and settings can be accessed via the Fluke borescope’s intuitive user interface, simple-to-use button panel, and touchscreen display. Like the Fluke DS701 Diagnostic Videoscope, the Fluke DS703 FC High-Resolution Diagnostic Videoscope includes a 7” LCD display; however, unlike its sister product, the DS703’s display is a capacitive touchscreen for accurate diagnostics in difficult-to-reach spaces.
Via the 7” LCD display the technician/ engineer can view crisp, clear, and smooth images captured using the supplied 1.2m, Ø8.5mm Dual View probe. The Fluke Videoscope’s fast processing speed means that the borescope camera is able to render smooth, clear, and consistent images.
The Fluke DS703 FC High-Resolution Diagnostic Videoscope has a frame rate of 30Hz, 75° field-of-view, and a 35.5mm to 111.7mm depth of field. It is also equipped with a fixed focus and has a 10mm minimum focus distance. In addition to this, the Fluke Videoscope includes adjustable lighting allowing the user to alter the borescope in order to capture the best possible images.
Furthermore, features such as adjustable colour palettes (choose from visible light, greyscale, or inverted), as well as a macro to micro zoom, allow the user to focus on the image details most relevant to their application, enabling quicker and more effective on-site image analysis.
Moreover, the Fluke DS703 FC High-Resolution Diagnostic Videoscope is equipped with Up is Up® technology ensuring that the image indicated on the display is correctly orientated despite the position or angle of the connected probe. Similarly, this improves the speed and ease of image interpretation.
As indicated above, the Fluke DS703 FC High-Resolution Diagnostic Videoscope is supplied with a 1.2m, Ø8.5mm Dual View probe. Compatible with a number of Fluke’s borescope probes with diameters ranging from 3.8mm to 8.5mm and lengths up to 20m. As a result, this borescope camera can be adapted to suit a variety of applications in difficult-to-access areas.
The Fluke DS703 FC High-Resolution Diagnostic Videoscope is a versatile, durable, and adaptable borescope suitable for an array of maintenance applications across a range of industry sectors.
