The Fluke Calibration 9144-X-256 Field Metrology Well is a lightweight, compact, portable alternative to dry well temperature calibrators. Despite their ergonomic size and efficiency, these instruments do not compromise on essential EA criteria such as:
Each of Fluke’s Field Metrology Wells is calibrated using high-quality, traceable and accredited PRTs and is supplied with an IEC-17025 NVLAP accredited calibration certificate, supported by a thorough analysis which takes into consideration temperature gradients, loading effects and hysteresis. This precise and extensive calibration results in a display accuracy of ±0.35°C at 420°C and ±0.5°C at 660°C.
Further to this, the Fluke 9144-X-256 Field Metrology Well features a stability indicator and will remain stable to ±0.05°C at 660°C. Moreover, its thermal block characteristics provide a radial (well-towell) uniformity performance to ±0.01°C, whilst Fluke 9144-X-256’s dual control helps to provide an axial uniformity of ±0.05°C at 40mm.
The Fluke 9144-X-256 Field Metrology Well is efficient, taking only fifteen minutes to heat from its lowest temperature (50°C) to its highest temperature (660°C). Further to this, its auto-setup of automated thermostatic switch test procedures also helps to improve user efficiency as this function will run a three-cycle calibration (once the user has entered the nominal switch temperature) and will display the final result for the dead band temperature on its large LCD display. However this instrument can also be tailored to the user’s needs as, in addition to the auto-setup of automated thermostatic switch test procedures, the Fluke Calibration 9144-X-256 also features a manual setup allowing the user to alter, for example, the number of cycles or the ramp rate.
The Fluke 9144-X-256 Field Metrology Well is easy-to-use and to this end features menu navigation buttons and function keys which facilitate easy access to all the instrument’s inputs and the pre-programmed calibration procedures stored in the instrument’s memory. It also features a ‘SET PT’ button for the quick set up of block temperature. The large easy-to-read LCD display ensures that it is easy to view and record data; raw data can also be exported into a calibration report or ASCII file using the included Model 9930 Interface-It Software.
The practicality, accuracy and simplicity of the Fluke 9144-X-256 Field Metrology Well mean that it can be used to temperature calibrate 4-20mA transmitters, simple thermostatic switches as well as a number of other sensor types.
