Fluke 9142-X-256 Field Metrology Well

The Fluke 9142-X-256 Field Metrology Well is rugged, efficient, accurate, portable and lightweight. It is able to calibrate an array of sensor types, and despite its compact size does not compromise on key EA requirements such as:

  • Accuracy
  • Stability
  • Axial (vertical) uniformity
  • Well-to-well uniformity
  • Loading
  • Hysteresis

This field metrology well is available in seven versions, as detailed in the drop-down selection. These versions differ only in their disc inserts. For further information concerning the above disc inserts please consult the table below.

For a visual indication of how these discs will appear, please see the attached datasheet listed under 'Technical Specifications'.

**Please be aware that this version of the Fluke 9142 Field Metrology Well does not come with process electronics, however, models including process electronics are available here.

These top-of-the-range field metrology wells are highly accurate and are calibrated using high-quality, traceable, accredited PRTS. They are supplied with an IEC-1705 NVLAP  accredited calibration certificate, backed by thorough, reliable uncertainty analysis: this analysis takes into account temperature gradient, loading effect and hysterics.

The Fluke 9142-X-256 Field Metrology Well has a display accuracy of ±0.2°C and will remain stable to ±0.01°C beyond its full range. The Fluke 9142- X-256 has a range of –25 °C to150 °C and only takes 15 minutes to cool to the lowest temperature (from 23°C) and 23 minutes to reach the highest temperature (from 23ºC).

This product is also equipped with a stability indicator which will visually and audibly alert the user of the Fluke 9142-X-256 Field Metrology Well’s stability within the selected criteria.

Not only is this product optimised for efficiency, accuracy and durability, it is also designed to be as easy-to-use and convenient as possible. To this end it features two types of automated thermostatic switch test procedures:

  • Auto Setup: will run a three-cycle calibration procedure and provide a final result for the dead band temperature (indicated on  the LCD display), with only minimal data entry, i.e. the nominal switch temperature
  • Manual Setup: facilitates the user’s ability to customise and tailor the calibration procedure.

Both automated thermostatic switch test procedures enable swift and easy temperature tests.  In addition to this, the Fluke 9142-X-256 Field Metrology Well contains pre-programmed calibration routines which are easily accessible via the product’s memory.

The Fluke 9142-X-256 Field Metrology Well is easy to navigate; it features function keys and menu navigation buttons which allow the user to access all the field metrology well's inputs.  Further to this, the front panel also includes a ‘SET PT’ button allowing the user to quickly set the block temperature, whilst the large LCD display allows for easy reading of results.

Finally, the Fluke 9142-X-256 Field Metrology Well is supplied with Model 9930 Interface-it Software which allows the user to export data into a calibration report or an ASCII file (raw data can also be viewed on the Fluke 9142-X-256’s screen).

The Fluke 9142-X-256 Field Metrology Well is a versatile, accurate, efficient and convenient product ideal for calibrating 4-20mA transmitters and simple thermostatic switches among other sensors.
