Its compact size and extensive temperature range (35°C/ 95°F to 375°C / 707°F) makes it suitable for carrying out a number applications in-the-field. This small tester (HxW: 2.5” x 5”) is lightweight and easy to transport. It is also easy-to-use; after plugging it in and switching it on, the user need only follow these few steps in order to ascertain the degree of error present in the instrument-under-investigation:
1.) Using the front panel buttons, set the temperature.
2.) Insert the probe-under-investigation into an appropriately sized well.
3.) Compare the probe’s reading to the reading indicated on the Fluke 9100S-X-256 Handheld Dry-Well Tester’s display. Alternatively, the probe’s reading can be compared to an external reference.
4.) The difference between the measurements indicates the error in the probe.
The readings acquired by the Fluke 9100S-X-256 Handheld Dry-Well Tester have an accuracy of ± 0.25°C to 0.5°C, depending on the setpoint temperature. Further to this, the tester has a stability of ± 0.07°C to 0.3°C, taking just five minutes to reach stabilisation. Readings are indicated on the Fluke 9100S-X-256 Handheld Dry-Well Tester’s display, which has a resolution of 0.1 degrees. These accuracies, stabilities and resolutions are made possible as a result of the integrated Fluke calibration temperature controller.
Finally, the Fluke 9100S-X-256 Handheld Dry-Well Tester is also supplied with an RS-232 interface and Fluke’s Interface-It Software, facilitating the user’s ability to monitor and control temperatures remotely.
The Fluke 9100S-X-256 Handheld Dry-Well Tester – Choice of Block is a portable, adaptable, sophisticated tester, suitable for evaluating a variety of pressure sensing instruments.
