The Fluke 87V/IMSK Industrial Multimeter Service Kit can be used to troubleshoot motor drives, plant automation, power distribution and electrochemical equipment. It consists of the following Fluke products:
Please see the descriptions below for further information regarding the Fluke 87V True-RMS Industrial Multimeter and Fluke i400 400A AC Current Clamp.
The Fluke 87V True-RMS Industrial Multimeter is optimised for industrial troubleshooting and can be used to check motor drives, plant automation, power distribution and electrochemical equipment.
It features an integrated thermometer and can measure temperature in addition to AC/DC voltage, AC/DC current, resistance, capacitance, frequency, and duty cycle. The Fluke 87V True-RMS Industrial Multimeter’s true-RMS AC voltage and current capabilities mean that it is possible to take accurate and reliable measurements of non-linear signals.
This instrument is suitable for taking current, voltage and frequency measurements of variable frequency drives (VFD). The Fluke 87V True-RMS Industrial Multimeter also features a unique function for measuring noise at VFDs and motor terminals. Moreover, it can accurately measure pulse-width modulated motor drive signals and is able to capture intermittents as short as 250µS. For further information regarding the Fluke 87V True-RMS Industrial Multimeter's measurement functions, please see the following video.
To improve measurement accuracy, the Fluke 87V True-RMS Industrial Multimeter includes shielding blocks for high-frequency and high-energy noise created by large drive systems. It has also been optimised for use in tough, industrial environments and to this end features a rugged casing and a safety rating of CAT III 100V, CAT IV 600V.
The Fluke 87V True-RMS Industrial Multimeter is an ergonomic, easy-to-use and effective digital multimeter with an eclectic selection of measurement functions. It is ideal for application engineers, plant engineers, industrial electricians, and electrical engineers.
The Fluke i400 400A AC Current Clamp is similarly ergonomic, easy-to-use and effective. When used with the Fluke 87V True-RMS Industrial Multimeter it can measure currents up to 400A. Its 1mA/Amp output ensures that results are easy-to-read via the DMM.
This ergonomic instrument is slim and small ensuring that it can access tight spaces. It is able to accommodate conductors with diameters up to 32mm and can perform current measurements without breaking the circuit.
The Fluke i400 400A AC Current Clamp also features a soft, non-slippery over-moulded handle which improves grip and prevents accidental contact with live wiring. This clamp meter is safety rated to CAT IV 600V/ CAT III 1000V.
The Fluke i400 400A AC Current Clamp can be used with the Fluke 87V True-RMS Industrial Multimeter to measure the currents present in industrial systems.
