The Fluke 789 Process Meter is a combined safety-rated digital multimeter and mA loop calibrator. It is supplied with a Fluke IR3000FC FC Connector which facilitates communication between the Fluke 789 and the Fluke Connect app on the user’s smartphone. This enables data logging and sharing as well as remote measurement monitoring. The Fluke IR3000FC Connector fits over the Fluke 789’s IR port. It is compatible with Android 4.4 smartphones and above, as well as iOS 4s smartphones and above.
In addition to testing an array of electrical parameters, the Fluke 789 Process Meter can measure, source, and simulate mA (4-20mA DC) with the same accuracy and resolution as a Fluke mA loop calibrator. It provides a simultaneous mA and % scale readout. As a result, the Fluke 789 Process Meter is ideal for troubleshooting and calibrating current loop.
It can also deliver a 24V loop power supply and features a HART mode setting with loop power (adds a 250Ω resistor). Additionally, as indicated above, the Fluke 789 Process Meter functions as a 1000V, 440mA, true-RMS digital multimeter. It can measure:
- AC/DC current
- AC/DC voltage
- Frequency up to 20kHz
- Continuity with beeper
- Resistance
- Diode test
Users can view measurements on the Fluke 789 Process Meter’s large, dual display with two levels of backlighting. They can ascertain relevant measurements using the Min, Max, Avg, Hold, and Relative modes.
In addition to these data functions, the Fluke 789 Process Meter includes manual step functions (100%, 50%, Coarse, and Fine) and Auto Step and Auto Ramp functions.
Finally, the Fluke 789 Process Meter has been designed to meet 1000V IEC 61010 CAT III and 600V CAT IV standards. It also includes practical features such as an easily accessible battery.
The Fluke 789 Process Meter is a compact, combined DMM and mA loop calibrator. When used with the supplied Fluke IR3000FC Connector, it is suitable for remote and/or collaborative monitoring/ troubleshooting applications.
