The Fluke 7103 Micro Bath Temperature Calibrator – Choice of Range provides the user with the accuracy and stability of a liquid bath, contained within a unit the size of a dry well calibrator.
The Fluke 7103 Micro Bath Temperature Calibrator is available in two models with different temperature ranges; for further details, please see the table below.
Product Code | Product Name | Temperature Range |
7103-256 | Fluke 7103-256 Micro Bath Temperature Calibrator |
–30 °C to 125 °C (–22 °F to 257 °F) |
7103-TR-256 | Fluke 7103-TR-256 Micro Bath Temperature Calibrator |
-20°C to 150°C (-4°F to 65°F) |
Both of these models include an over-temperature cut-out, which works to protect the user’s safety and prevent damage to the unit.
The Fluke 7103 Micro Bath Temperature Calibrator can be used to calibrate temperature sensors of various shapes and sizes, as well as thermal switches. It is also particularly well suited to calibrating liquid-in-glass and bimetal thermometers. This versatility of application is made possible by the inclusion of a contact that is designed for the calibration of thermal switches, as well as an integrated tank with a depth of 140mm (5.5”) and diameter of 48mm (1.9”). The depth of this tank ensures that sensors of various descriptions can be easily immersed in the fluid.
Water, mineral oil and silicone oil can all be used to serve as bath fluid. Depending on the fluid used, the instrument has a stability of ±0.03°C or better. In addition to this, the Fluke 7103 Micro Bath Temperature Calibrator has a uniformity of ±0.02°C, ensuring that it provides the user with low uncertainties when it is used with a reference thermometer. Alternatively, the operator is able to use the Fluke 7103 Micro Bath Temperature Calibrator to perform quick calibrations without a reference thermometer as a result of its ±0.25°C accuracy. Please note that the values given for the stability, uniformity and accuracy of the Fluke 7103 Micro Bath Temperature Calibrator are true of the instrument’s entire temperature range.
Temperature readings can be saved to the Fluke 7103 Micro Bath Temperature Calibrator’s eight-point storage memory. Alternatively, the user is able to view these readings remotely on his/her PC due to the inclusion of an RS-232 port and Fluke’s Interface-It Software. This software also allows the user to operate the Fluke 7103 Micro Bath Temperature Calibrator via his/her computer as it provides access to instrument's features and functions, such as the ramp-rate, which may be adjusted to suit the user’s needs.
Additionally, this instrument can be used with Fluke’s MET/ TEMP II Software (NOT included). Like the supplied Interface-It Software, this program can be used to view the Fluke 7103 Micro Bath Temperature Calibrator’s readings and adjust its settings. However; this software also allows the user to generate calibration constants and reference tables.
As well as its versatility, accuracy and software compatibility, the Fluke 7103 Micro Bath Temperature Calibrator has also been optimised for practicality and ease-of-use. To this end, it is supplied with a seal-proof lid which allows the user to transport the micro bath between and across worksites with the liquid already added to the tank. Moreover, as a result of its sophisticated design, the Fluke 7103 Micro Bath Temperature Calibrator is capable of CFC-free refrigeration, removing the need for a compressor to generate and maintain the required temperatures. This has resulted in the Fluke 7103 Micro Bath Temperature Calibrator's more compact, portable and lightweight design, again ensuring that it can be easily handled and transported.
Despite its compact, lightweight and portable design, the Fluke 7103 Micro Bath Temperature Calibrator does not compromise on its performance. It is ideal for those requiring a temperature calibrator with the stability and accuracy of a liquid bath but with the size and practicality of a dry well tester.
