Totally certified for Zone 1 and 2 environments where there's a danger of combustion, the Fluke 568EX is a handheld, portable infrared thermometer that can be used safely in areas that work with things such as petroleum, chemical, oil, gas and others.
Using a standard infrared thermometer in environments where there is risk of combustion could cause nasty accidents, so using the Fluke 568EX ensures that the safety of you and those around you is maintained at all times. Since many of these environments will rely on the use of temperature to maintain parameters and the overall environment, using the Fluke 568EX means that temperatures can be quickly evaluated and adjusted as necessary.
The Fluke 568EX is capable of measuring temperature levels via the use of infrared technology. Simply point the tester at the area you wish to test and the thermometer will measure the overall temperature of the targeted surface between a range of -40 to 800°C (with high accuracy of just ±1%). The tester is also suitable for use at a distance, and the 568EX's distance-to-spot ratio makes this product suitable for up to 50m away from the targeted application.
As well as infrared temperature measurements the Fluke 568EX is also capable of carrying out temperature measurements via the use of a k-type thermocouple which is included as part of this kit.
To aid with getting the best measurements possible the Fluke 568EX also includes additional features such as adjustable emissivity and a built-in material table. It also includes built in memory and can capture up to 99 data points.
This product holds the following safety ratings:
Note: only the thermocouple supplied with the Fluke 568EX is deemed intrinsically safe. Other thermocouples run the risk of combustion.
