Please see the descriptions below for further information.
Please see the following video for a brief overview of the Fluke 289 True-RMS Industrial Data Logging Multimeter.
The Fluke 289 True-RMS Industrial Data Logging Multimeter is optimised for solving complex problems pertaining to electronics, plant automation, power distribution, and electro-mechanical equipment. It can be used to measure the following electrical parameters:
True-RMS AC voltage and current measurements allow the user to take accurate readings on non-linear signals. In addition to this, the Fluke 289 True-RMS Industrial Data Logging Multimeter includes an AC filter/ Smoothing mode which will display a steadier signal when the input signal is noisy or fluctuating rapidly.
Furthermore, the Fluke 289 True-RMS Industrial Data Logging Multimeter’s low pass filter allows the user to determine accurate and simultaneous voltage and frequency readings when measuring adjustable speed motor drives or other electrically noisy equipment. Its LoZ Volts (low impedance voltage) function also works to improve the accuracy of this multimeter as it eliminates ghost voltages. This function is particularly useful when checking for the presence of live power.
The Fluke 289 True-RMS Industrial Data Logging Multimeter is also equipped with a Relative mode which removes test lead resistance from low ohms and capacitance measurements. Additionally, this multimeter features two terminals for measuring motor winding resistance and contact resistance. Both terminals have a range of 50Ω and resolution of 1mΩ, enabling comparison of motor-winding resistance or contact resistance measurements.
In addition to this, the Fluke 289 True-RMS Industrial Data Logging Multimeter features a Peak Capture function designed to record transients as quick as 250µS. This digital multimeter also includes standard Min, Max and Avg functions allowing the user to view the minimum, maximum and average readings (respectively) for the electrical parameter.
Measurements are indicated on the Fluke 289 True-RMS Industrial Data Logging Multimeter’s large, backlit, 50 000-count, ¼ VGA dot matrix display. The operator is able to view logged results graphically using the TrendCapture function allowing him/her to identify anomalies quickly. He/she can zoom-in on trends or anomalies (up to 14x) using the TrendCapture function, facilitating in-the-field analysis. Please see the video below for further information regarding the TrendCapture function.
The Fluke 289 True-RMS Industrial Data Logging Multimeter’s Logging function and large memory enable unsupervised monitoring and recording of electrical parameters. This instrument is able to store up to 15 000 events, allowing the user to save multiple logging sessions. Each reading is time and date stamped using the integrated real-time clock. Furthermore, the user is able to adjust recording thresholds allowing him/her to specify the percentage change that denotes a new event. The Auto Hold thresholds can also be adjusted in this way.
Automatic recording allows the user to perform other tasks whilst the Fluke 289 True-RMS Industrial Data Logging Multimeter monitors the system. Alternatively, the user can leave the Fluke 289 True-RMS Industrial Data Logging Multimeter in place and monitor readings remotely using the Fluke Connect App and a compatible Android or iOS smartphone. This app can also be used to share results with relevant persons. Please note that a Fluke ir3000 FC Wireless Connector (NOT included) is required to facilitate a connection to the Fluke Connect App.
Finally, the Fluke 289 True-RMS Industrial Data Logging Multimeter is easy-to-use; the user can access help screens for each function by pressing the “i” button.
The Fluke 289 True-RMS Industrial Data Logging Multimeter is a precise, comprehensive and easy-to-use high-performance, datalogging digital multimeter optimised for industrial applications.
The Fluke i400 400A AC Current Clamp can be used with the Fluke 289 True-RMS Industrial Data Logging Multimeter to measure current up to 400A AC. Its 1mA/Amp output ensures that results are easy-to-read via the digital multimeter.
This current clamp is able to take current readings without breaking the circuit and features a compact design for accessing tight spaces. The Fluke i400 400A AC Current Clamp is able to accommodate conductors with diameters up to 32mm.
Furthermore, the Fluke i400 400A AC Current Clamp features a soft, non-slippery over-mould handle which improves grip and prevents the user from accidentally touching live wiring.
Also adding to the safety and versatility of the Fluke i400 400A AC Current Clamp is its CAT IV 600V/ CAT III 1000V safety rating.
The Fluke i400 400A AC Current Clamp is a safe and simple-to-use current clamp suitable for industrial applications.
