The Fluke Connect-enabled Fluke 1736 Three-Phase Power Logger is an entry-level power logger optimised for electrical technicians, contractors, and energy-saving consultants. It can be used to conduct energy studies and basic power quality logging.
This instrument can automatically capture and log over five hundred power quality parameters; thereby equipping the individual with a comprehensive insight into the relevant data, allowing him/her to make critical power quality and energy decisions in real-time. It is an effective inspection tool designed for optimising system reliability and savings.
Select the Premium Care option in the dropdown box when choosing the model you wish to purchase, only available for users in the UK. Please visit our Blog for more information.
As indicated above the Fluke 1736 Three-Phase Power Logger is supplied with four FREE Fluke 173X-flex1500 iFlexi 1500A Probes (12 inches) which can be used to measure all three power phases and neutral. The Fluke 1736 can identify and scale each probe. The four current probes are connected separately and can be set to 150A or 1500A, ensuring the best possible accuracy for each application.
The Fluke 1736 Three-Phase Power Logger includes a ‘Verify Connection’ feature to ensure that probes and various test and voltage leads have been connected correctly. The Power Logger automatically checks whether probes and leads have been connected correctly and will digitally correct common connection errors without requiring the user to disconnect and reconnect the equipment. Furthermore, it automatically alerts the user when the wrong current clamp has been connected.
The Three-Phase Power Logger’s innovative, tangle-free and flat voltage lead also improves the simplicity and reliability of lead connections. Once safely connected to the system under investigation, it can record the following parameters simultaneously:
(The above is a small selection of the vast array of critical three-phase power parameters that the Fluke 1736 Three-Phase Power Logger is capable of measuring and logging.)
Measurements are logged automatically, ensuring that data trends are complete; results can be reviewed during logging sessions and/or before they are downloaded for real-time analysis. It can save up to twenty separate logging sessions and has a memory that is large enough to record data acquired over a year.
It is possible to download saved data for further analysis. Measurements may be downloaded to a USB flash drive, which is plugged into the side of the Power Logger. Alternatively, the user may view and access data via the Fluke Connect mobile app, allowing him/her to maintain a safer working distance, reducing the need for costly protective equipment.
In addition to maintaining a safer working distance, viewing and sharing measurements with relevant persons via the Fluke Connect App allows teams to make real-time decisions. As a result, task efficiency is increased and the need for further site visits and check-ins is reduced.
Moreover, as the user can monitor the 1736 using a Wi-Fi-enabled device, he /she can verify its functionality remotely without having to visit the site. Once downloaded to a PC, data can be charted, graphed and organised into reports using the Fluke Energy Analysis Plus Software. This program is equipped with a suite of powerful analysis tools allowing the user to evaluate every aspect of the energy consumption and power quality state of health. Additionally, this software can be used to create customised reports in PDF and RTF formats quickly and simply.
In addition to downloading data for further analysis, the unit features a bright, colour, touchscreen display with a graphical indication that can be used to perform in-field analysis and data checks. Additionally, via the display, front panel and intuitive user interface, the operator can configure (using the quick, guided, graphical setup) the Three-Phase Power Logger to capture the correct data for each task. Please see the following videos for further information regarding the setup and configuration of this unit. Alternatively, it can be configured remotely using the Fluke Connect App. Both configuration methods allow the Power Logger to be programmed in the field, adding to the practicality and efficiency of this instrument as it does not need to be returned to a workshop for reprogramming or data download.
Also improving this instrument’s practicality is its ability to be powered from the measured circuit.
The comprehensive measurement and logging capabilities combined with its easy-to-use and practical design make it suitable for performing the following tasks.
Load Studies
Verify the capacity of an electrical system before adding loads
Energy Assessments
Justify energy-saving measures by quantifying the energy consumption before and after improvements have been made to the circuit.
Harmonic Measurements
Determine issues caused by harmonics that are resulting in damage or disruption to critical equipment.
Voltage and Current Event Capture
Identify dips, swells and inrush currents that are causing false resets or nuisance circuit breaker tripping.
The Fluke 1736 Three-Phase Power Logger is optimised for efficiency, ease of use and data visibility. This comprehensive, versatile instrument is the ideal entry-point model for electrical technicians, electrical contractors and energy-saving consultants.
