The mid-range model in Fluke’s 1670 series of multifunction installation testers, the Fluke 1673 Multifunction Installation Tester is a best-in-class multifunction electrical tester that builds on the capabilities of Fluke’s enduringly popular 1663 Electrical Tester.
Perfect for troubleshooting and verifying the installation and functionality of electrical installations and electric vehicle charging stations, the Fluke 1673 delivers a seamless user experience and new practical, efficiency-improving features that make testing 30% faster and documentation 50% quicker. New testing capabilities on the 1673 include a voltage drop test, automatic measurement validation, dedicated EV testing, and Auto Test sequences.
Data and metadata are automatically saved to relevant test points and stored in the 1673’s multi-level memory. This eliminates time-consuming and error-prone double-entry. Furthermore, compatibility with Fluke’s TruTest Data Management and Reporting Software and Fluke Connect App ensures this electrical tester fits seamlessly into your ecosystem of Fluke products and allows you to incorporate data gathered using multiple instruments into your records and reports.
Practical features that improve the ease and speed of testing include a full-colour touchscreen display, 180° screen rotation, and a magnetic hanging strap (sold separately). The Fluke 1673 Multifunction Tester is perfect for professionals who need a comprehensive electrical tester with EV capabilities that will increase measurement efficiency while decreasing reporting time, thereby maximising productivity and profitability.
Site information can be uploaded to the Fluke 1673 prior to testing. Information may be entered directly on the instrument or via the Fluke Connect App or TruTest Software. This reduces preparation time. In addition to this, easy-to-read measurement tables and automatic PASS/FAIL assessments according to industry standards reduce the likelihood of overlooked tests or errors, ensuring you can get all your testing done in one session.
Easy-to-read measurement tables combined with automatic PASS/FAIL assessment and automatic measurement validation contribute to 30% faster testing. Similarly, the automatic saving of results and metadata to relevant test points eliminates time-consuming double-entry. This improves testing efficiency. Furthermore, a magnetic hanging kit (sold separately) enables hands-free operation. This, alongside a 180° rotating screen, makes the Fluke 1673 ideal for use at distribution boards and other awkward testing scenarios.
The Fluke 1673 Multifunction Tester performs a voltage drop test by conducting a line impedance measurement at the supply origin and the end of the circuit. It determines voltage drop as an absolute value (V) and a relative value (%). Technicians/electricians can select the nominal load current of the circuit. As standard, the voltage drop test accuracy is set as 4% accurate to IEC 60364-xx. However, this can be adjusted as required.
The Fluke 1673 improves on the efficiency of its sister product, the 1672, in that it offers Auto Test which will run through an entire installation test sequence. This ensures you gather all the data required to complete a comprehensive report and allows you to remain productive throughout testing.
Elimination of double-entry and pre-population of client information makes maintaining data and creating reports using Fluke’s TruTest Software or Fluke Connect App faster and easier. Compatibility with Fluke’s TruTest Software and Fluke Connect App reduces your workload, streamlines reporting, improves your productivity, and, therefore, your profitability.
An intuitive interface and live onscreen dashboard make it quick and simple to see the status of all your clients. Customer information may be inputted directly on the software; uploaded with test results from the 1673 via a USB-C interface; or downloaded from the Fluke Connect App. A user-friendly report builder formats this data into a test certificate complete with your company logo and signature. Fluke’s TruTest Software allows you to create reports compliant with the following regional standards:
It also includes a pre-configured international report template and is updated as necessary to accommodate additional regional standards.
Additionally, Fluke’s TruTest Software can be used with other Fluke instruments, allowing you to manage multiple data sets in one place. As a result, you can incorporate measurements gathered using auxiliary Fluke tools into your reports.
Compatibility with the Fluke Connect App not only reduces documenting time but optimises testing efficiency too. The Fluke Connect App wirelessly synchronises data saved to the Fluke 1673 to your Cloud storage for fast download to the TruTest Software. Furthermore, photos of faults or assets can be assigned to specific test points along with necessary notes. In addition to this, as the Fluke Connect App is compatible with an array of Fluke Tools, such as Fluke 369 Leakage Current Clamp or 1630-2 Earth Ground Clamp, you can also incorporate data from these auxiliary tools into the test point record, allowing you to provide a clearer picture of a facility’s health.
Finally, to streamline data management and maximise testing efficiency, the Fluke Connect App includes an option to create and upload projects, as well as distribution boards and circuits, to the Fluke 1673. These guide you through testing, streamlining testing and data management.
The Fluke 1673 Multifunction Tester delivers precision, speed, and reliability. It is ideal for domestic and light commercial electricians, maintenance technicians, mid-volume condition reporters, new build commissioners, and res-comm condition reporters.
The Fluke 1673 Multifunction Tester is available as a standalone multifunction electrical tester or as part of two kits.
