Product Code | Product Name | Mains Voltage Settings |
1586A/DS-HC 220 | Fluke 1586A/DS-HC 220 Super-DAQ with 1 High Capacity Module & 1 DAQ-STAQ Multiplexer | 220V: 198V to 242V |
1586A/DS-HC 240 | Fluke 1586A/DS-HC 240 Super-DAQ with 1 High Capacity Module & 1 DAQ-STAQ Multiplexer | 240V: 216V to 264V |
The Fluke 1586A Super DAQ can function as a data-logger, multimeter and temperature calibrator. It can be used with the included high-capacity module and multiplexer to facilitate these extensive measurement capabilities.
The Fluke 1586-2586 High-Capacity Module makes the Fluke 1586A Super DAQ suitable for factory applications. The module can be configured to accommodate the necessary inputs for particular tests and can facilitate the data acquisition system’s ability to measure thermocouples, RTDs, voltage, resistance and current simultaneously. The Fluke 1586-2586 High-Capacity Module can be fitted into the Fluke 1586A Super DAQ as necessary and may be used interchangeably with other high-capacity modules. Test setups for each high-capacity module can be recalled from the Fluke 1586A Super DAQ’s extensive memory. This module’s adaptability and the Fluke 1586A Super DAQ’s ability to store and recall test setups improves testing efficiency as the need to re-wire and re-configure inputs are removed.
Alternatively, the Fluke 1586A Super DAQ can be used with the included Fluke DAQ-STAQ Multiplexer to perform benchtop temperature calibrations in calibration laboratories. It can be easily stacked on top of the Fluke 1586A Super DAQ and includes a variety of input terminals designed to facilitate a connection between the Fluke 1586A Super DAQ and thermistors, thermocouples and PRTs. It includes mini-jack thermocouple terminals with reference junction sensors, as well as mini-DWF, gold-plated input terminals compatible with bare wire, spade lug and mini-banana-plug terminations.
It is possible to use multiple Fluke DAQ-STAQ Multiplexers with the Fluke 1586A Super DAQ in order to measure the temperature, DC voltage, DC current and resistance for up to forty channels. The Fluke 1586A Super DAQ may be set to scan these channels at a rate of up to ten channels per second. In addition to this, the Fluke 1586A Super DAQ features an Alarm function allowing the user to set upper- and lower-limit alarms for each active channel. These features improve the efficiency of testing and allow the user to tailor the instrument to the application.
Alternatively, the Fluke 1586A Super DAQ can be used with Fluke’s Dry Wells or Fluid Calibration Baths to perform sensor calibrations. The data acquisition system includes a function optimised for this purpose, the Automated Sensor Calibration function. Once the following specifications (see below) have been entered into the Fluke 1586A Super DAQ’s setup, the data acquisition system and connected Fluke instrument are able to perform a comprehensive sensor calibration unsupervised, freeing the user to perform other tasks in the meantime, thereby improving his/her work efficiency. The specifications required for this function include:
The Fluke 1586A Super DAQ uses the reference channel to determine when the temperature source is stable. Once temperature stability has been determined the Fluke 1586A Super DAQ will gather the necessary readings before moving on to the next temperature setpoint.
The Fluke 1586A Super DAQ is able to measure PRTs to an accuracy of ±0.005°C when used with the included Fluke DAQ-STAQ Multiplexer. It is also capable of measuring thermocouples to an accuracy of ±0.5°C when used with the Fluke 1586-2586 High-Capacity Module and can measure thermistors to an accuracy of ±0.002°C. To maintain this accuracy, the Fluke 1586A Super DAQ includes a Channel Offset Zero function and a current reversal feature designed to limit the effects of thermoelectricity and thereby improve the accuracy of PRT/RTD measurements.
In addition to the above features and functions, the Fluke 1586A Super DAQ includes a MAX + B function, as well as the following measurement modes:
This instrument also includes a Historical mode which allows the user to view saved data contained within a scan file. This data can be displayed in a tabular or graphical format on the Fluke 1586A’s colour display with a 6.5-digit resolution.
Similarly, real-time data may also be displayed in a tabular or graphical format and the user is able to switch between these display settings as necessary. When data is displayed in a tabular format the user is able to view all the readings for all the active channels. Alternatively, he/she can view data plotted in real-time for up to four channels when the Fluke 1586A Super DAQ is set to display data in a graphical format. This setting allows the user to monitor trends as well as zoom in and out on data points. These comprehensive data display capabilities remove the need for a PC or charting programs when reviewing test setups or conducting data analysis.
Nevertheless, the Fluke 1586A is compatible with Fluke’s TQSoft and TQAero Thermal Validation Software (NOT included). This software can be used to document results, create reports and provide complete qualification. These programs can also be used as audit trail management systems, making them suitable for use in applications regulated by governmental and/or agency standards.
The Fluke 1586A Super DAQ is also designed to be suitable for applications regulated by governmental and/or agency standards as it includes two levels of data security. These prevent unauthorised access to stored data, thereby maintaining data-traceability.
This instrument has an extensive 20MB, internal, non-volatile memory with the capacity to store up to 75 000 time-stamped readings. This information may be transferred to a PC via a USB flash drive or a network with LAN interface connection. Once transferred to a PC, measurements can be viewed in a Microsoft Excel file.
The Fluke 1586A Super DAQ is a comprehensive, versatile and sophisticated data acquisition system, it can be used with the included Fluke DAQ-STAQ Multiplexer and Fluke 1586-2586 High-Capacity Module to perform a variety of applications, including:
These extensive testing and measurement capabilities combined with the Fluke 1586A/DS-HC Super DAQ with 1 High-Capacity Module & 1 Multiplexer’s adaptability and practicality, makes this selection of products ideal for technicians, engineers and quality control personnel working in the pharmaceutical, food processing, aerospace and automotive industries.
