This kit variation of the Fluke 1555 comes with more than you'd get in the standard kit. Additional supplied items include an extremely durable hard carrying case, a full calibration certificate for the tester and a set of special rugged alligator clips.
Fluke's 1555, an upgraded version of the Fluke 1550, can be used to measure insulation resistance across a wide measurement range up to 2TΩ by using DC test voltages of 250V, 500V, 1000V, 2500V, 5000V and 10000V. It can also be used to carry out evaluations of dielectric absorption and polarisation index automatically with no additional setup of the unit required.
Test voltage can be stepped up gradually in 50V steps up to 1000V, then 1000V steps when it reaches above 1000V. This tester can also be used to measure leakage current from 1nA to 2mA, capacitance from 0.01μF to 15μF and all testing results are shown on the built-in LCD screen as both a numerical value and as an analogue reading on a scale.
The 1555 has integrated memory, allowing it to catalogue a large number of testing records with user defined unique labels. This information can also be downloaded directly to PC and interacted with further by using the included software package.
