The Fluke 1529-T-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer – 4x Thermocouple Inputs can be used to measure up to four thermocouple sensors simultaneously or sequentially.
The Fluke 1529-T-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer has two sister products which vary in regards to their input ports:
The Fluke 1529-T-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer includes patented mini DWF connectors allowing the user to connect thermocouples with standard or miniature terminations. This thermometer is able to accommodate the thermocouple types B, E, J, K, N, R, S, T and Au-Pt.
When conducting measurements of thermocouples the user is able to select between internal and external reference junction compensation, allowing him/her to adapt the Fluke 1529-T-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer to suit the application. He/she may also set the Fluke 1529-T-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer to measure and log temperature readings at various intervals. This instrument includes fourteen interval settings ranging from one measurement an hour to one measurement every 0.1 seconds. When used in high-speed mode, the thermometer can conduct readings as frequently as ten a second; however, this is ONLY possible for ONE channel. Ordinarily, the Fluke 1529-T-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer can log readings from all four channels simultaneously or sequentially.
The operator can choose to view measurements in °C, °F, K, Ω or mV and can set the temperature resolution to a value between 0.01 and 0.001°. He/she may also select to view up to eight data fields from any channel.
Adding to this instrument’s adaptability is its extensive selection of measurement and utility functions, as well as its configuration options. Some of the functions and options available on the Fluke 1529-T-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer are:
Access to the Fluke 1529-T-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer’s settings, functions and memory are facilitated by a single button on the front panel. The easy-to-navigate menu guides the user through probe coefficient, sample interval, communication and password settings, facilitating the user’s ability to adjust the Fluke 1529-T-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer as necessary.
The Fluke 1529-T-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer’s internal memory has the capacity to store up to ten screen configurations, providing the user with quick access to setup information. With regards to measurements, this instrument can store up to 8000 readings (at user selectable intervals) with date and time stamps, or 100 individual readings with identifying session labels.
Data gathered by the Fluke 1529-T-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer can be uploaded to a PC via the integrated RS-232 port (OPTIONAL IEE-488 ports are available); the Fluke 1529-T-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer can also be connected to a PC via this port. Once connected, or once the data has been uploaded, the Fluke 1529-T-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer may be used with the following software programs (NOT included) to perform a variety of tasks:
As well as its extensive measurement, communication and storage capabilities, the Fluke 1529-T-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer has also been optimised for practicality and to this end has been designed to be compact and able to provide the user with an extended operating period. It can be powered using its nickel-metal-hydride battery for up to eight hours. This battery is extremely durable, it can withstand up to 500 charge/ recharge cycles. Further to this, it takes just three hours to recharge.
Alternatively, it is possible to power the Fluke 1529-T-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer using an AC power source of 100 to 240V or a DC source of 12 to 16V.
The Fluke 1529-T-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer is a practical and adaptable instrument with a comprehensive memory and extensive measurement capabilities. It is ideal for benchtop thermometry, on-site measurements, lab calibration work and remote data logging.
