The Fluke 1529-R-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer – 4x PRT/ Thermistor Inputs can be used to measure up to four PRT and/or thermistor sensors simultaneously or sequentially.
This instrument includes four inputs all capable of accommodating PRT and thermistor probes. The Fluke 1529-R-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer has two sister products, each with different probe inputs:
The Fluke 1529-R-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer includes patented mini DWF connectors facilitating the user’s ability to connect PRTs and thermistors with bare wire, spare lug and mini banana plug terminations. This instrument is compatible with 100Ω, 25Ω and 10Ω PRTs and RTDs.
It utilises ITS-90, IEC-751 (DIN) or Callender-Van Dunsen conversion methods to measure PRTs and uses Steinhart-Hart polynomials or a standard YSI-400 curve to measure thermistors. It has an accuracy of ±0.004°C at -100°C and ±0.009°C at 100°C when measuring PRTs. Further to this, it has an accuracy of ±0.0025°C and a resolution of 0.0001° when measuring thermistors.
The user is able to view measurements in °C, °F, K, Ω or mV and can select a temperature resolution of between 0.01 to 0.001°. He/she is able to set the Fluke 1529-R-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer to log measurements as sporadically as one reading per hour or as frequently as one reading per 0.1 seconds. The user can set the Fluke 1529-R-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer to one of fourteen data logging intervals including, and between, these extremes. Ordinarily, this instrument can be set to measure and log readings from all four channels simultaneously or sequentially. However; when it is used in high-speed mode this instrument can log ten measurements per second for ONE channel ONLY.
Measurements acquired using the Fluke 1529-R-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer can be saved to its extensive memory with the capacity to store up to 8000 readings (at user selectable intervals) with date and time stamps. This instrument’s memory is also able to accommodate up to 100 individual readings with identifying session labels. It also features the capacity to save a maximum of ten screen configurations, allowing the user to recall information regarding the set-up of the instrument quickly.
The user is able to access the instrument's memory as well as its internal setup options via the simple-to-use navigation system. This menu guides the operator through probe coefficient, sample interval, communication and password settings allowing him/her to tailor the thermometer to the requirement.
This easy-to-use system is accessible via a single button on the front panel. Via this front panel, the user is able to select to view up to eight data fields from any channel. He/she may also access the Fluke 1529-R-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer’s extensive measurement, set-up and utility functions; these include:
Again, allowing the user to tailor the Fluke 1529-R-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer to the application.
Data gathered by the Fluke 1529-R-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer can be uploaded to a PC via the integrated RS-232 port (OPTIONAL IEEE-488 ports are available). Once data has been uploaded to a PC, and/or the Fluke 1529-R-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer has been connected to a PC, the user is able to utilise either of the following optional software programs (NOT included) to conduct an array of tasks:
This instrument's extensive measurement, communication, and storage capabilities make the Fluke 1529-R-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer suitable for benchtop thermometry, on-site measurements, lab calibration work and remote data logging. Its compact size also adds to this product’s versatility and practicality as does its ability to be powered using either the included nickel-metal-hydride battery or a mains power supply.
It is possible to operate the Fluke 1529-R-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer using an AC power supply of 100 to 240V or a DC power supply of 12 to 16V. Alternatively, the included nickel-metal-hydride battery can power the instrument for up to eight hours. It is possible to recharge this battery in just three hours. Furthermore, this battery is durable enough to survive up to 500 charge/recharge cycles.
The Fluke 1529-R-256 Chub-E4 Standards Thermometer – 4x PRT/ Thermistor Inputs is a practical, compact instrument with a comprehensive memory and extensive measurement capabilities. It is ideal for a variety of tasks including temperature calibration applications.
