The Fluke 1504-256 Tweener 1-Channel Thermometer for Thermistors can be used to read thermistors of various designs. It functions by converting resistance measurements into temperature readings, utilising its integrated algorithms to perform this task.
Via the front panel the user is able to select whether he/she wishes to view the temperature measurements in °C, °F or K. Alternatively, he/she may choose to view the resistance measurement in Ω.
The front panel also facilitates the user’s ability to program the thermistors constants and coefficients in order to improve the linearity and accuracy of the instrument. He/she may also calibrate the Fluke 1504-256 Tweener 1-Channel Thermometer via the front panel, saving the user time and money. Additionally, this thermometer is supplied with a calibration report.
The Fluke 1504-256 Tweener 1-Channel Thermometer is able to match the temperature range of any connected thermistor and has an accuracy of ±0.002°C to ±0.020°C depending on the temperature. In addition to this, the Fluke 1504-256 Tweener 1-Channel Thermometer has a resolution of 0.0001°C.
This instrument is available in two models which differ only in regards to their interfaces. As standard, the Fluke 1504-256 Tweener 1-Channel Thermometer is supplied with an RS-232 interface which facilitates its ability to conduct automatic temperature data collection, calibrations and process control functions. However, a version of this instrument with an IEE-48 interface is also available; please see the table below for further details.

These interfaces facilitate the Fluke 1504-256 Tweener 1-Channel Thermometer’s ability to be used with Fluke’s 9934 LogWare Software (NOT included). This software allows the user to collect data in real-time, as well as analyse it graphically and/or statistically. Alternatively, the operator may use the Fluke 1504-256 Tweener 1-Channel Thermometer with Fluke’s MET / TEMP II Software (NOT included), allowing it to serve as reference thermometer.
Finally, in terms of its practicality, this compact, portable instrument can be used with Fluke’s 9320A Battery Pack in order to provide it with up to 36 hours of power between charges. This increases its scope-for-use, allowing it to remain operational in locations without a power source.
