The FLIR SV87-Kit Vibration Monitoring Solution is a wireless sensing-solution designed to monitor and log temperature and vibration readings for industrial equipment such as rotating machinery, pumps, fans, gearboxes, and motors. Temperature and vibration trending and analysis can be used to find issues or potential problems with industrial equipment before faults become apparent and/or failure occurs.
The FLIR SV87-Kit Vibration Monitoring Solution consists of one FLIR GW65 Remote Monitoring Gateway and four FLIR SV87 Vibration and Temperature Remote Sensors which can be placed in difficult-to-access locations. The sensors log readings every ninety seconds. Stored data can be exported as a CSV file.
Moreover, measurements are transferred wirelessly and in real time to a smartphone, tablet or PC. Professionals can use this data and trending charts to make informed decisions without having to wait for manual inspections. This means corrective action can be taken sooner, reducing downtime and operational costs while improving overall productivity and profitability. The FLIR SV87-Kit Vibration Monitoring Solution will send an automatic email alert when the vibration or temperature threshold is exceeded. Furthermore, automated vibration analysis means the user can predict mechanical failures before they occur.
Remote wireless monitoring also allows the user to minimise his/her exposure to dangerous environments as he/she can check the condition of equipment from a safe distance. Moreover, as the FLIR SV87-Kit Vibration Monitoring Solution’s sensor batteries only need to be replaced once every four years, this also reduces the user’s contact with dangerous machinery.
