Reduce the risk of testing live electrical components with FLIR's range of infrared (IR) windows, easy-to-install windows which allow you to inspect electrical components within an electrical system using a thermal camera!
Unlike standard glass which doesn't allow thermal energy to travel through it, FLIR's IR windows are made from broadband crystal which allows thermal cameras to see through the glass and produce high quality visible and thermal images, all without distortions. The windows transmit short, mid and longwave infrared and are fully suitable for use when performing visual inspections, or when using FLIR's blending modes on thermal cameras.
These versions of FLIR's IR Windows are made from high quality stainless steel and are best suited for applications where there are concerns about mixed metals in the same frame. The stainless steel is designed to stop galvanic corrosion between the stainless steel cabinet and window frame, ensuring long life use from every IR window.
Made to be as simple to install as possible, all you need to do is drill one hole and attach FLIR's PIRma-Lock ring to hold the window in place. A hinged cover is included with a locking system to remain fixed in place when open/closed.
FLIR's IR windows are compliant with NFPA 70E requirements and are tested/certified for arc flash safety (KEMA), CSA and CSAus Model Certification. They also have Underwriters Laboratories recognition (UL 50V). The windows are fully suitable for installation in both indoor and outdoor conditions.
