The FLIR Si2x-Pro HazLoc Acoustic Imaging Camera is an ultrasonic imager specifically for use in hazardous gas and explosive dust environments. This acoustic camera is perfect for pinpointing partial discharge (PD); identifying mechanical bearing issues; and locating compressed air and gas leaks. Equipped with 124 microphones that can detect ultrasonic sound between 2 and 130 kHz, the Si2x-Pro automatically tunes to the correct frequency. It converts these soundwaves into a sound map which is overlaid onto a digital photo captured by the integrated 12MP colour camera. As a result, maintenance technicians can pinpoint faults such as impending mechanical bearing failures; partial discharge; and compressed air and gas leaks. Images and data may be saved to the FLIR Si2x-Pro Acoustic Imaging Camera’s 128 GB SD card.
The FLIR Si2x-Pro can detect compressed gas or air leaks from up to 200m from the source. Additionally, the Si2x-Pro will estimate the leak size, rate, and estimated cost, allowing maintenance teams to make informed repair decisions quickly and easily. This ultrasonic imager can be used to find and assess hydrogen, carbon dioxide, methane, natural gas, helium, argon, ammonia, and nitrogen, as well as compressed air, leaks.
Using three measurement metrics, the FLIR Si2x-Pro will identify bearing problems and/or mechanical defects early, allowing you to minimise maintenance/repair costs and expensive downtime.
In addition to pinpointing partial discharge, the FLIR Si2x-Pro Acoustic Imaging Camera uses onboard artificial intelligence to classify PD; assess its severity; and recommend courses of action.

Consequently, the FLIR Si2x-Pro is ideal for both small- and large-scale operations.
