Note: this is a special kit version of FLIR's MR160 moisture meter which also includes the MR08 Hammer Probe (allowing you to measure moisture at a greater depth below the surface than the standard version of the MR160 would allow).
FLIR's MR160 is more than just a standard moisture meter - this uniquely designed, first-on-the-market product is the only moisture meter which helps you to see exactly where you need to measure before you actually start measuring.
With the MR160, professional building surveyors can isolate moisture problems much easier, allowing you to work on solving the problem much faster compared to traditional moisture meters would let you.
Don't test everywhere to find moisture - with the FLIR MR160's built-in 80 x 80 pixel Lepton thermal imager, you can see moisture damage in walls, ceilings and floors without doing any testing!
Using similar technology to FLIR's industry-leading thermal cameras, the MR160 allows you to view a thermal snapshot of the room on the MR160's screen, making it easy to spot moisture cold spots and large areas of moisture spread before you actually start testing.
There's many benefits to this mode, including:
Once you've found the moisture with the MR160's IGM mode, you can test the level of moisture with high levels of accuracy.
The FLIR MR160 is both a pin (invasive) and pinless (non-invasive) moisture meter. This means you can either use the included pin probe to directly measure below the surface by making contact with the pins to the material you're testing, or - in applications where this may not be possible - you can use the completely pinless mode to measure without causing any damage!
This special kit version of the MR160 also comes with a FLIR MR08 hammer probe; this large probe allows you to 'hammer' the pin electrodes at a greater depth in the material, making it easier to find moisture hidden at a greater depth.
