FLIR K65 National Fire Protection Association Approved Thermal Camera
FLIR's top of the range thermal camera for firefighters, the K65 is approved by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) as a tool for use by professional firefighters.
The FLIR K65's usability, image quality and durability are all in line with the NFPA standard 1801: 3013, so you can rest assured that this thermal camera is more than up to the task as part of your firefighting kit.
With the K65 as part of your kit you'll be able to work much faster and safer. This thermal camera can be used for everything from navigating through thick smoke to detecting the body heat of trapped people, helping firefighters to see what otherwise may have been missed. It's also an essential for detecting the hottest part of a fire, allowing you to prioritise your fire attacks.
The K65 produces high quality thermal images thanks to its 320 x 240 pixel detector. Images are shown on the large-size, 4 inch LCD screen and both images/video can be saved with just the tough of a button for further analysis at a later date.
This firefighting thermal camera is made tough; it can withstand drops directly onto concrete from a height of 2m, is IP67 rated against water damage and is fully operational in conditions up to +260°C for 5 minutes.
New 2024 Improvements
FLIR has updated the Kxx-Series Thermal Cameras to improve the precision and speed of critical decision-making. First responders will benefit from:
- Improved image clarity and sharpness
- Greater contrast in low and high-contrast areas
- More astute room and depth perception
- Better image performance
These enhanced features work together to provide more efficient navigation and orientation in low and non-visibility areas and prevent user disorientation As a result firefighters can deliver more efficient and safe search and rescue operations, as well as faster fire location.
FLIR FSX
Firefighters need to have clarity when they're working; that's why all FLIR K65 units come with FLIR FSX as standard.
This unique mode enhances the detail level of thermal images significantly, helping firefighters to spot objects and plan their movements much more carefully.
