for Condition Monitoring and Early Fire Detection
Optimised for outdoor applications, such as condition monitoring and fire detection, the FLIR A700f Advanced Smart Sensor Thermal Camera is a durable infrared and visible-light imager with temperature analytics and alarms. Edge computing, industrial Internet of things (IIoT), and compatibility with an array of VMS interfaces mean this thermal camera can be easily integrated into new and existing monitoring systems.
The FLIR A700f Thermal Camera delivers consistent, high-resolution, accurate thermal imaging, even in challenging conditions. It has an IR resolution of 640 x 480px and a frame rate of 30Hz. In addition to this, it features an MSX function, which overlays digital details (resolution: 1280 x 960px) onto thermal pictures, and FSX (Flexible Scene Enhancement) technology, which increases the contrast in even-temperature scenes and enhances edge detail in low light. Moreover, measurement tools such as polygon, polyline, and line functions can be used to improve the definition of areas of interest or object curvatures.
Compatibility with HMI/SCADA (using Modbus TCP client and server and Ethernet/IP) and compliance with ONVIF S means the camera can be easily integrated into standard security VMS and NVR solutions. Users can control the pan/tilt remotely; similarly, to ensure accurate temperature measurement of objects at varying distances, the A700f’s motorised focus can be adjusted remotely via Ethernet. When integrated into video management systems, thermal and visible streams may be viewed independently or simultaneously. Furthermore, to conserve bandwidth, the camera supports compressed streaming of radiometric footage to FLIR Atlas SDK.
Edge computing and IIoT also enable easy integration into new and existing networks. Additionally, support for widely adopted IIoT protocols, such as MQTT and REST API in XML and JSON formats, ensures the camera is ready for the fourth industrial revolution.
To protect the FLIR A700f from the effects of the weather and to secure its sensor against theft, the camera is housed in a durable casing. It has an operating temperature range of -30°C to +50°C, ensuring suitability for outdoor applications.
The FLIR A700f Advanced Smart Sensor Thermal Camera is a powerful, precise, and practical infrared- and visible-light-imaging camera ideal for protecting assets, improving safety, maximising uptime, and minimising maintenance costs.
