The A40 smart sensor cameras are suitable for scenarios requiring built-in analytics and alarm capabilities. They are ideal for condition monitoring and early fire detection. When integrated into cloud and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions, the FLIR A40 helps protect assets, improve safety, maximize uptime, and reduce maintenance costs.
Equipped with a wide-area, non-contact temperature sensor, the A40 delivers up to 320 × 240px (76,800 pixels) resolution with ±2°C accuracy. The camera also features FLIR’s patented MSX® Image Enhancement for improved detail (not available in the A40 95° version), and FSX® (Flexible Scene Enhancement) technology which enhances contrast. FSX® is particularly useful for fire applications.
In addition to thermal, digital, FSX, and MSX imaging, the FLIR A40 can measure temperatures between -20°C and +175°C to an accuracy of ±2°C. Moreover, it will indicate the minimum and maximum temperatures within a box and includes analytical functions such as:
Furthermore, an alarm function will issue an alert, for example via email, when acceptable limits are breached.
Integration is seamless, as the thermal smart sensors communicate with standard industrial protocols and video management systems, including HMI, SCADA, modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, MQTT, and REST API.
The A40 cameras have a lightweight, IP66-rated design with a diamond-like carbon coating on the lens. The FLIR A40 supports multiple mounting and connecting options including M8/12 connectors, M12 Ethernet, Digital I/O, and RS-232/485.
The imaging and integration capabilities of the FLIR A40 Advanced Smart Sensor Thermal Camera mean it is perfect for several applications including:
The FLIR A40 Advanced Smart Sensor Thermal Camera is a dependable, durable, easily integratable automated thermal imaging camera.
