The highest specification model in Extech's range of TKG ultrasonic thickness gauges, the TKG250 includes literally every function a professional needs for comprehensive measurements of thickness in boiler tubes, pressure vessels, storage tanks, ship hulls, containers, home oil tanks, pipes, steam lines, compressors, shafts, bridge pins, bond inspections and any other structure made primarily of steel.
While the other models in this series - the TKG100 and TKG150 - use a standard LCD screen, the TKG250 has a full-colour LCD screen that makes it easier than ever to generate direct measurements and thickness waveforms. This colour display allows the meter to display colour alarms, with green for good, yellow for neutral, and red for bad.
Multiple functions not found on the other models in this series are also included. The Extech TKG250 can calculates line waveforms (a-scan for thickness verification), compare files in its built-in memory with real time corrosion monitor, dynamically changes waveform colours when alarms are sounded and allows grid review of saved readings. It also contains a 100K internal datalogger with export to Excel via USB, echo-to-echo function, b-scan function and vibrating alarm indication.
