Suitable for use in a wide variety of thickness measurement applications including boiler tubes, containers, compressors, pressure vessels, home oil tanks, shafts, storage tanks, pipes, bridge pins, ship hulls, steam lines and many more, the Extech TKG100 uses ultrasonic technology to determine the thickness of a material. This tester is made primarily for use on steel structures to measure overall wall thickness.
Fully suitable for use both indoors and outdoors thanks to a sunlight-readable dot-matrix display with integrated backlight, the Extech TKG100 quickly determines overall thickness from 0.040" to 20" of steel or 0.020" to 20" (requires 10MHz probe - sold separately) of steel depending on the probe type connected to the instrument. It's compatible with a wide variety of different transducers used for measurement (supplied as standard with 5Hz), ensuring that this meter can be used on different material types.
The TKG100 is part of the Extech TKG family of thickness gauges. This model is the entry-level tester in this range; if you require additional functions such as vibrating alerts and more, we'd highly recommend taking a look instead at the mid-range model, the TKG150, or alternatively the high-end model, TKG250.
