Extech's SL400 is used to measure and record noise exposure levels over a period of time.
Designed to be worn on clothing, the SL400 is ideal for personal accumulated noise exposure measurements, workplace noise assessments and for ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agencies such as MSHA, DOD, ACGIH and ISO.
The SL400 dosimeter gives you full control over your surveys and allows you to configure the sound level mode. You can choose between standard sound level, MIN/MAX, time-averaged sound level (Leq), peak sound level and overall sound exposure level (SEL). The SL400 also comes with adjustable critetion level, exchange rate and threshold.
Once configured, the SL400 will measure frequency-weighted noise exposure as well as peak (C and Z) sound levels. These values are logged in internal memory, with the ability to log up to 999,999 readings with adjustable sampling time between 1 second and 24 hours. Once you're done logging, plug the SL400 into your PC via USB connection and download the results into the supplied software package.
