Carry out vibration measurements at a distance with Extech's SDL800 vibration meter and datalogger.
The tester comes as standard with a remote vibration sensor with a magnetic adapter, allowing it to be attached to a motor, bearing, fan, pump, rotating machine or various other applications in order to measure overall vibration. The cable attached to the sensor is 1.2m (47.2"), allowing the user to remain at a safe distance when reading back vibration levels on the meter's backlit LCD screen.
This vibration meter is capable of calculating acceleration in f/s², m/s² and g, velocity in in/s, mm/s and cm/s and displacement in inches and mm. All measurements are carried out with a high degree of accuracy of ±(5%+2 digits).
The SDL800 is best suited for measurements of vibration over a time period thanks to its datalogging capabilities. The tester can store up to 99 readings as standard and can store up to 20M readings directly on the supplied SD card, allowing direct interfacing between the meter and a PC. It's also possible to configure the sampling rate of this vibration meter between 1 to 3600 seconds, ensuring you get the measurements you need every time.
All captured testing information is date/time stamped for easy sorting and is saved in a direct Excel file for porting into a PC without the need to use additional software.
