The Extech RH101 is used to evaluate air temperature and humidity and can also be used as a non-contact temperature measurement device.
This device can measure humidity levels from 10 to 95% with max resolution of 0.1% and basic accuracy of ±3.5%. When measuring air temperature it can measure from -4 to 140°F (-20 to 60°C) with max resolution of 0.1° and basic accuracy of ±3°F/°C. Both of these measurements are carried out by use of a humidity/temperature probe that is attached directly to the meter.
The IR thermometer that is included on the RH101 includes a built-in laser pointer for precisely targeting where a measurement should take place and has distance to target ratio of 8:1. This mode allows fully non contact measurements of temperature to take place between a range of -58 to 932°F (-50 to 500°C) with max resolution of 0.1° and basic accuracy of ±3°F/°C. Emissivity for this mode is fixed at 0.95.
Measurements are relayed automatically through the RH101's screen through both primary and secondary displays. The Primary display is user selectable for IR and humidity, while the Secondary display will always show ambient temperature levels.
The RH101 also includes a few additional features such as MAX/data hold functions, switchable Celsius/Fahrenheit units and low battery/overrange indication. It also comes with a built-in stand behind the meter, allowing it to be used hands-free.
