Extech RD300 Refrigerant Leak Detector

Built for detecting the presence of all common refrigerants and ideal for use with air-conditioning units and cooling systems, the Extech RD300 is a must-have for any refrigerant application.

When a refrigerant is detected the RD300 uses an LED light scale to show the level of gas detected. This is divided up into coloured segments, allowing the user to tell at a glance whether a small or large leak is present on the system being tested. Audible alerts above a certain threshold are also included.

The RD300 uses a long-length heated diode sensor to make measurements. This is attached to the main body of the tester via a flexible probe, allowing the user to easily move the sensor to the desired measurement point. A built-in torch light also ensures that the sensor can be used in darkened conditions.

This meter can be used to detect R-22, R-134A, R-404a, R-410a, all CFCs, HCFCs and HFC refrigerant types.
