Extech MO265 Combination Pin/Pinless Moisture Meter

The Extech MO265: Combination Pin/Pinless Moisture Meter is both a non-invasive and invasive moisture meter encased into one testing unit.

Since the device is capable of both contact/non-contact measurements, it's possible to get a quick evaluation of moisture levels without actually causing damage to the targeted material - using the pin mode will, although the pins are thin, leave some damage in the tested material. When carrying out pin measurements the MO265 can either make use of the integrated pins on the top of the device or users can use a remote pin probe (which is included with the tester) to perform measurements.

The pinless measurement mode of the Extech MO265 allows users to evaluate moisture to a depth of 0.75" below the surface of a material, while the invasive moisture evaluation method will generate more accurate results further below the surface.

Results evaluated by the MO265 are displayed in two ways - the first is as a numerical readout on the devices' bright LCD screen with integrated backlight, and the second is as a reading on an integrated LED bargraph which will light up depending on the amount of moisture detected.
