The Extech LCR200 Passive Component LCR Meter measures capacitance, resistance and inductance with secondary parameters and uses a 20,000/2,000 count backlit display of both parameters at the same time. This meter has an auto select measurement feature with 1kHz default test frequency. There are five test frequencies, in general, though. The Hi/Lo limits can be set with percentage limits or absolute values, and there is a relative mode function available, too, as well as a series or parallel equivalent circuit.
In general, an LCR meter is meant to measure various parameters that are determined through the measurements of impedance. After that, the meter will do the calculations needed to determine every parameter based on that number.
This basic and dedicated design is absolutely important to circuitry design and maintenance overall. In other words, data can be manipulated and analyzed even further with the help of a computer - and this can be done easily, too. Fortunately, the Extech LCR200 Passive Component LCR Meter comes with a user manual in case you have any more questions that need clearing up in the matter.
This meter also has an auto power off function, as well as overrange and low battery indicators, as needed. Other features include a built-in test fixture, a RS-232 interface, and external test leads. Additionally, the short and open calibration gets rid of any unwanted stray impedances out of the measurements as needed.
