The Extech HT30 is used to determine exactly how hot it feels when humidity levels are combined with temperature, air movement and radiant levels of heat. It's ideally suited for use in athletic training, monitoring outdoor working conditions, or environments such as manufacturing.
Known as heat stress index measurements, this mode on the HT30 is ideal for checking optimal conditions within an environment, giving you a more realistic value of temperature effects than a standard thermometer could.
A dedicated Black Globe Temperature (TG) mode is also includes on this tester, allowing the user to monitor the effects of direct solar radiation upon an exposed surface. Both air temperature levels and relative humidity levels can also be measured separately for added convenience.
The Extech HT30 is fully suitable for use in both indoor and outdoor conditions. An In/Out function is used to cater for both of these environments, allowing the tester to be used either with or without direct sun exposure.
Additional features of this unit include an automatic power off function (can be deactivated) and a built-in RS232 interface for downloading to PC.
