The Extech EX8xxA Series clamp meters have a built-in IR thermometer and a laser pointer. The laser is suitable for non-contact temperature surface measurements. The clamps meters are full of innovative features including a Low Pass Filter for precise measurement in electrically noisy equipment, a Low Impedance Mode (LoZ) to prevent false readings from ghost voltages, and an inrush current mode to capture start-up current.
The intuitively designed housing provides a better grip for a one-handed operation. Two models are available the EX820A is AC only and the EX840A is AC+DC.
