The Extech CO15 Carbon Monoxide Meter can be used to detect carbon monoxide (CO) up to 999ppm. It is suitable for the following applications:
- Ambient air safety checks on residential appliances
- Checking the level of CO in industrial environments
- Home inspections
- May be used as part of HVAC services on furnaces and hot water heaters
The Extech CO15 Carbon Monoxide Meter is easy-to-use. It includes a simple operating system and can be engaged via the press of a single button.
When this instrument detects carbon monoxide levels which are in excess of the user definable limit, the CO detector will issue a continuous beep and its display will flash in order to alert the user. These visible and audible alarms will continue until the carbon monoxide levels return to an acceptable/ normal range.
The Extech CO15 Carbon Monoxide Meter’s alarm is set to 25ppm as default. The user is able to alter this; he/she can select from the following warning levels: 25, 30, 35, 45, 50, 70, 100 and 200ppm.
In addition to being able to tailor the CO alarm to the user’s needs, the Extech CO15 Carbon Monoxide Meter also includes three calibration points from which the user is able to choose, these include 0 (default), 100 and 500ppm. This feature improves the reliability, accuracy and versatility of the instrument. The operator is able to utilise these adjustable calibration and alarm features in order to adapt the carbon monoxide meter for a multitude of applications.
The design of the Extech CO15 Carbon Monoxide Meter also helps to extend the versatility of the CO detector. Its backlit display ensures that the instrument can be used in low light conditions, whilst the inclusion of a wrist strap and pouch means that it can be easily held and transported across worksites.
As well as adding to the meter’s practicality, the dual, LCD display also extends the capabilities of this detector. On this display, the user is able to view both the immediate carbon monoxide level and the maximum carbon monoxide level detected since the instrument was powered on.
In addition to this, the user is able to monitor battery power via this screen as the instrument will indicate when battery power is low. This feature, as well as its Auto Power Off function, works to preserve the longevity of the Extech CO15 Carbon Monoxide Meter.
Indeed this instrument has been designed with longevity in mind and to this end features a long life electrochemical sensor.
The Extech CO15 Carbon Monoxide Meter is a practical, versatile instrument which can be adapted to suit a variety of applications.
