Designed for carrying out EMF measurements of high frequency radiation from 10mHz to 8GHz, the Extech 480846 is ideal for use in a wide variety of EMF measurements applications including measuring wireless networks, RF electrosmog, microwave leakage, locating RF hot spots, measuring radiation density, evaluating mobile phone base station antenna radiation power density and measuring general RF electromagnetic wave field strength.
This EMF meter features the ability to measure in a wide variety of different units. Simply press the dedicated unit button on the front of the tester to easily switch between mV/m, V/m, μA/m, mA/m, μW/m², mW/m², W/m² and μW/cm². Additional functions such as MAX hold, average reading and a timed adjustable alarm are also available from the front of the tester.
The Extech 480846's sensor is integrated directly into the top of the meter and allows tri-axial measurements from X, Y and Z points to make sure as much EMF radiation as possible is detected.
