Fast, reliable and accurate, the 42570 uses dual laser beams to allow the user to exactly determine a temperature measurement point. The dual lasers converge to create a 1" target spot and the thermometer will read and display the surface temperature at the designated measurement spot.
The Extech 42570 is ideal for use in demanding applications - its built-in 50:1 distance-to-target ratio allows the user to stand further away from the object than other thermometers would allow (approximately 50" away for a measurement spot of 1"). It can also test temperature levels across an extremely wide range of -50 to 2200°C (-58 to 3992°) with high accuracy of ±(1% rdg + 2°F/1C) and excellent resolution of 0.1°C/°F.
Want even more precision? The 42570 is supplied as standard with a type K thermocouple for direct measurements on the surface. A built-in lock function is also included for continuous readings in either measurement mode.
To cater for different surface types, the 42570's emissivity can be adjusted to maintain accurate readings. The highest, lowest, average and maximum values with minimum subtracted values taken over a period of time can also be captured with the thermometer's MAX/MIN/AVG and DIF functions.
Additional functions of this thermometer include a backlit screen with bargraph, fast 100millsecond response time, adjustable high and low set points with audible alarm, USB interface and tripod mounting capability.
