Extech 407732 Type 2 Sound Level Meter Kit

This special bundle package comes with a selection of equipment designed to carry out a comprehensive evaluation of sound in an environment The Extech 407732 Kit is ideal for noise surveys undertaken in the workplace, installing fire alarms and speaker systems, and enforcing noise ordinances. 

The first product included in this pack is the Extech 407732 Sound Meter. A type 2 device, this unit is capable of carrying out measurements of sound across both a low range of 35 to 100dB and a high range of 65 to 130 dB. This makes it suitable for carrying out sound measurements in both quieter and extremely loud environments such as those using loud machinery in the industrial sector.

Extech's 407732 also includes a backlit screen for using the device in darkened environments, a data hold function, and a MAX hold function and meets ANSI and IEC type 2 standards.

The second main product included in this sound level meter kit is Extech's 407722 Sound Calibrator. This device is designed to be used in combination with the 407732 sound meters to calibrate and verify the meter's operation.

This calibration device is encased in durable, double moulded housing to ensure it is protected from damage at all times. The unit generates a 1kHz sine wave at 94/114dB with an accuracy of 4% (frequency) and ±0.5dB. The total harmonic distortion (THD) of this product is <2% at 94dB.
