The Extech 407026 is a light meter that can be used to evaluate overall light intensity in both footcandles and lux at the same time thanks to simultaneous display of both parameters.
In order to enhance measurement accuracy the 407026 also includes the ability to select the light source currently being tested and has tungsten/daylight, fluorescent, sodium and mercury options available. It can measure detected light levels in footcandles up to a high threshold of 5000Fc and can measure lux up to 50000lux with basic accuracy of ±4% FS.
Although not a datalogging light meter, the 407026 can interface directly with a PC via an RS-232 serial interface. This enables information to be transmitted into an optional Windows software package which is available directly from Extech.
In addition to standard light level measurements the 407026 also includes a number of additional features including ZERO recalibration, cosine and colour corrected measurements, MIN/MAX, AVG and a data hold function.
